Hacking DSi shuts down when folded during a ROM game

I'm using an Acekard2i and when I fold my DSi to make it sleep, the DSi shuts down. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Edit: It only doesn't close when it's charging.
 
Sleep mode works fine on mine. Make sure you're using AKAIO 1.4.1 Proper and not the official AceKard firmware. Also download the latest loader (april 20, 2009) and put it in your _aio/loaders folder.
 
I don't think my dsi is broken as sleep mode works with retail games. My dsi is only two weeks old, and I am really careful with my hardware.
