I'm here to clear up all the confusion with the n00bs who are all asking the same thing "WAI HAI! WAT FLASHCART SHUD I GAT?".
This is mostly to tell you which cards you should check out and which ones you should avoid. It is to be used as kind of an outline and somethings you should keep in mind when buying a new flashcart. This only covers Slot-1 carts.
Here's my guide:
There are 5 categories. Workhouse, Budget, Others, Obsolete, and Clones/Crap.
Workhouse Flashcarts:
These flashcarts are the ones with lots of extra features. They tend to feature such things as Real Time Save, Multiple Saves, and other very cool features.
This flashcarts are usually cheaper and don't contain a lot of advanced features, but they work well for homebrew, DS games, etc. with out a bunch of addons.
"Other" Flashcarts:
These one's are mostly just "there" and you can get them if you want but there are better things out there.
Obsolete:
These ones are no longer updated and their feature set is outdated.
Clones/Crap (Avoid at all Costs)
These carts are clones of either the N-Card or the R4. They should never be bought.
There's my guide. I would like it moved to the FAQ Section
EDIT: Updated for clarity and better organization.

- SuperCard DS One SDHC - Review - SuperCard is always a good choice. They will never fail you and they will always support their products. Supports SDHC.
- CycloDS Evolution - Review - People really like this one. It has had some really nice features added on as of late. Supports SDHC.
- M3 DS Real - Review - This one comes with a very full featured GUI with lots to offer feature-wise. It also comes with several Slot-2 expansion paks. Supports SDHC
- Acekard R.P.G. - Review - Features built-in memory as well as a microSD slot. It has some nice advanced features.
- NeoFlash MK-R6 Gold 2008 - Review - Has support for motion inside games and homebrew with the built-in DS motion. Has a few bugs in the firmware and really not super great for homebrew, but it works most of the time.
This flashcarts are usually cheaper and don't contain a lot of advanced features, but they work well for homebrew, DS games, etc. with out a bunch of addons.
- iTouchDS - Review - The iTouchDS is basically the budget version of the M3 DS Real. It has less features and is meant for people who just want to get right in to homebrew and games. it does have some nice features like slow-motion, favorites, and it is multilingual with 8 languages or something.
- DSTT - Review - This is one of the cheapest flashcarts on the market and the most popular. It is very cheap (usually about $25), and it just works. Their site is really slow, though.
- AceKard 2 - Review - This is a nice basic one that just kinda works as it should.
- EDGE - Review - This one is a good bet. It is like R4 meets iTouch or G6.
"Other" Flashcarts:
These one's are mostly just "there" and you can get them if you want but there are better things out there.
