I believe it’s a game save file where some brave soul went and did the initial login w/ Bethesda and then stoped the game and hit save.

Try importing “PlayerData” with JKSV. The worst that will happen is it will say it‘s not a game save and refuse to import.

Hey man, just created some backups of my SD card which took almost a full day since my hdd is super slow. I also succesfully formatted my sd card using rufus. After this I installed Hekate/Atmosphere and the sigpatches.
Is it perhaps better to start with a completly new emunand instead of my old one to prevent any problems from happening?

Also do you happen to know what caused my switch to act so weird? just so i can be more carefull in the future

You can use you old one if you’d like and if it doesn’t work out we can repartition again. You’re getting the hang of it now and can start doing the backup/replace/restore dance. You can also just make a fresh copy and then use NXNandManager to export the game saves you’d like to keep. I personally like a fresh slate.

Using exfat (instead of FAT32) or files based emunand (on exfat is the worst) instead of hidden partition. It could have just been luck of the draw. I backup my entire SDcard to another identical SDCard every 2 weeks or so and switch cards…this way I only lose 2 weeks worth of work at worst.

jksv doesn't have a option usb to pc so how would i get the file over to the N Sw ?

No worries. Just start at the top, 1, 2, 3…3 is where the action starts.

the places where you will need to make a decision you just chose the following:

You’ll make a new Emunand by copying your Sysnand.
Create/Restore a NAND backup

When you get to the CFW part you will want the section called:
Set up Atmosphere with EmuNAND on Erista (Unpatched)

jksv doesn't have a option usb to pc so how would i get the file over to the N Sw ?

Non-bootable will work for our purposes.

the fix - is called player data but thats on the pc . ive tried to use goldleaf - to usb - cant get that to run the tinfoil 13.00 isn't working to usb - so im using awoo + usb loader .. check point dont show it up ether the doom game
think i might just play it on pc

You shouldn’t need to use USB (except you want to use Hekate UMS to export you sd card over USB)

I have reason to believe PlayerData works on Checkpoint:

Well it seems that the problem was that it was reading an xb3 folder from another outside “contents” folder forcing it to unable to start error
But I got it fixed thanks again

First you need to make sure that whatever game you want to do that for supports the same save format on Switch and Steam Deck.
