Alright everyone, it's time I explain what's been going on with this part of the project and why I still haven't provided solid instructions yet on how to make your own resource packs. This might be a tad lengthy so please just hang tight.

When I initially took this project on, I knew full and well that this wasn't going to be like any ordinary version of Minecraft on a platform, unlike Java and even modern age Bedrock, this one isn't as open in comparison. Some of you have noticed that I've been throwing in some ported resource packs, and the reason I've been doing this is to one, stir some interest, and two, I wanted to get some variants out there that people can use for the time being. What I have offered so far isn't the full extent of what I actually want to give in terms of these resource packs. Due to some of the file types this version utilizes, currently a lot of the aspects of what truly makes custom resource packs possible is no doubt currently barred off. I've been actively looking deeper into these file types and such and trying my best to figure things out. I have asked for help and unfortunately I am left with no responses, or I've been given an answer but absolutely no updates on the matter, I've even asked for just a little information on the subject matter given I may know some people who can at least piece together something I can use to make this all work out. I haven't and will not give up on this, and I will still continue to provide updates on the matter, I will continue to work on this, and of course, more stuff will be ported and updated as time goes on, because I really do want to make these ports work as intended and not stuck behind certain barriers.

As for the instructions, this all ties into my first statements above, I want to offer proper instructions with proper flexibility over these types of files, rather than just the basic stuff. The other issue is the lack of tools, Ohana3DS while is useful, it's not exactly ideal for these packs, reason being is because the game uses a bit of a different 3DST formatting that Ohana3DS simply converts by force into the formats it understands (example, Ohana3DS doesn't like transparent images in the 3DST files, yet the game actually utilizes transparent images, so this essentially becomes a pain). Workarounds are possible, but I honestly hate beating around the bush, I prefer getting things done right, and I hope one day we won't have to beat around the bush and actually have something that actually works for cases like this (no disrespect for Ohana3DS by all means, but it's not cutting it for this, it's just not geared properly).

In conclusion, I'm still working on this as I've stated already, things are just a little complicated due to the lack of proper tools and lack of knowledge on the file types I am dealing with to fully push this project deeper. Thanks for those who stuck around to watch this get updated, and I hope for a better future for this version of the game, because whether anyone believes it or not, it has potential.

Thanks For Everything You Have Done So Far, You Have Worked So Hard And I Wish Some People Would Just Understand That Things Like This Takes Time. I Know Of Some Modders Of Games Like This That Try To Write Custom Scripts And Those Take An Even More Absurdly Amount Of Time To Complete.

Point Taken Is Thank You For Always Working Hard. Its Developers Like You That I Wish I Could Help, But With No Experience In The Things I Need To Help You With, There's Nothing I Can Really Do. But There Is One Thing I CAN Do. And That Is To Thank You And Cheer You On As Time Progresses.

If It Makes You Feel Better, At Least Know That 1 Person Cares Deeply For What You Do. You Have No Idea What It Means For My First Minecraft Game To Be Updated Like This. I Play The Switch Version Yes, But The Nastolga Of This Game Is What Brings Me Back And You Adding More Just Adds To What I Love Most.

Thank You DeadSkullzJr, And Good Luck. Keep Up The Hard Work And Never Stop Reaching For Your Dreams!

I post credits for whoever made the original textures on the main thread post and I even include them in the read me documents that I give with each resource pack. The only credit I take is porting the texture pack and for any additional or modified textures. Due to version differences based on the intended version the packs being ported were made for, and of course this version of the game, modifications have to be made to make them work properly on this version, especially given the current tools we have are kind of limiting on what can be done currently. The only time I will ever take full credit for a resource pack is if it's a resource pack I created myself. I just haven't ported any of mine yet given I work on my own packs still for other versions of Minecraft.

Also thanks!

Nice To Know!

Hopefully We Might Make A Big Breakthrough With Modding The 3ds Edition.(making it easier to mod)

The Features I Wish Would Eventually Come (if possible to mod)
- The Ability To Port Custom Worlds In And Out Of The Game(like the wind waker island photo included was sick! imagine if that could be ported!)

- The Ability To Add Blocks

- The Ability To Add Custom World Packs(Overwriting The SuperMario And Festive Worlds)

Just Dreams That Wont Ever Happen . . . probably

Anyway I Hope Your Work And Others Work Will Continue To Shine! I Cant Believe What Has Been Possible So Far! Man I Could Never Replace This Community!

Would like to say a couple things on the matter.

First:
The game has a very difficult situation in regards to how it is received by the public, essentially a good chunk of the public deems it a mistake, which is baffling to me given the same public asked for Minecraft back in the days of the Nintendo DS (late) and Nintendo DSi, here we are today with a Minecraft game on the New Nintendo 3DS, and it's not good enough to them. Many people who got their hands on it upon release reported issues regarding the game, to which I will admit that yes, the game didn't have a very good launch, personally I went in to get both the pros and the cons regardless of said issues. A few months passed, and we ended up getting an update, which started a chain of other updates not long after, one by one issues were corrected, and the performance ended up improving drastically. One thing I noticed however is anytime I see someone bringing up anything about the game in some negative manner, they harp on the issues it has or in some cases used to have, I brought up the fact it had updates that fixed many of those issues being addressed, they didn't seem to care, they'd rather publicly pass the narrative that the game is trash and that nobody should look into buying or playing it. Alright, well I don't expect everyone to like it, but clearly the review or view in general is inaccurate given the things being said are of outdated or falsified facts, but alright let that one pass a second. Video related game reviews seem to mostly show people playing the base version of the game, without the update, which is great and all but that isn't the full proper experience of the game given it has been updated and improved upon, because of this however, more people look away without a second thought, they don't consider going in with an open mind whatsoever and likely only watched ONE review anyways (that's not a proper way to review anything, you are supposed to look at multiple sources given some spot things that others don't at times), to be fair some are as old as the game release, to which what I am saying does NOT apply to those, I am talking about reviews AFTER the updates had already rolled out years ago and somehow people just can't read when their system says there are updates for the game. It's pretty evident, a lot of people are critical about anything that is wrong with the game, so much as to not accurately get the full experience (sometimes I feel people do this intentionally), but completely and seemingly neglect any potential good about the game. It's true the game game didn't have a healthy start, but it did finish with a good bang. It's unfortunate though that even then it's never good enough, because yet again humanity fails even more because now they start comparing it to versions that run on more powerful machines, machines that can handle more when it comes to game updates, gee it's almost as if each platform is different and has different hardware limitations, hmmmmmm, then they proceed to expect the world even if it's literally unreasonable to ask for just because they get the world on a different platform (the computer in this case). To which all I can say to that level of logic is, good job, bravo to my specie, pat yourself on the back for that one. Sarcasm aside, the issues I mentioned create a nasty situation of mixed to near bad views of the game, even though many of the issues people have claimed over time has been dealt with, mix that with people not being open to at least look for BOTH the pros and cons, you get what still persists today. I personally see this as the reason why the game doesn't have a large community backing, and this is also why things seem so grim for its future.

Second:
Progress does exist on the matter of modding and such, though true there still isn't any mods yet, I will say that I've personally been working with the game and have posted stuff in the server in the main thread page. I don't brag about the progress though because the objective isn't to build fame or anything of the sorts from it, my goal is purely progress and stirring interest, because while the game seems rough around the edges, like anything else, it has potential to be better if we just give it a chance. There are other more serious reasons for my actions too, but I won't delve into that for now. I will say however that some of the things you wanted is relatively close to some of the things I've been working with and have done already, I post progress in the server only usually. Due to everything thus far, and given the fact I've been working on this alone, progress requires some time, but I do my best to deliver.

i didnt mean to get on your bad side T-T im sorry if i pushed your buttons.

I Will Say One Thing Though: I Am Happy With The Current Version. Adding Those Features Is Like I Dont Know A Goal That Maybe One Day We Can Achieve, Even If It Makes The Game Horrendously Big xD

Anyway Again Im Sorry And I Will Shut My Mouth Now Before I Cause Anymore Damage. I Didnt Expect To Get An Essay, But After Reading It I Would Have To Say, Yes I Understand. Trust Me As Someone Who Has Heavily Modded, Tried To Make Ds Games, Etc, I Know What Types Of Problems Arise With My Statements. Mostly Hardware Limitations Like You Said.

now i will go into a corner and shut up T-T

You did not get on my bad side lol. I put things in blunt perspective, what I said was general, not specifically targeted towards you, I was explaining why there is grim support for the game and why it seems like there is no support most of the time, the truth is many people are just incapable of going in with an open mind, if it wasn't the case then the sense of appreciation for video games would be higher than it is currently (if any really exists anymore that is). It's harsh to say but is it arguable? People demand by having extreme standards, some cases using lousy reasoning such as "it's 2021, we should be doing this now." even though there is no rule that says it has to be a certain way, but what would I know about that lol? Point is, due to impractical standards and expectations, chances are never given. People also seem to forget that it's possible to improve something if you give it enough time and attention, for all anyone knows this version of Minecraft could do a lot more if they were patient enough with it.

Hi, could you post at least the instructions for the ohana? Even though there are limitations, it better than nothing...

Thank you for porting these textures! I was getting kind of sick at looking at the old netherrack blocks...
Anyway, can I have 2 or more packs loaded, and be able to choose between them? If so, then how can I do it?
Also, would it be possible to put different music in the game with the same approach as textures?

It's possible, but it's buggy, I plan to make more appropriate changes in the future to allow for this. I've used custom audio before, but there are some complications with it that need to be ironed out, I haven't sorted that out just yet.

are you still doing this
Don't know if you mean this in general or if you mean if I updated them to the latest update. Either way yes I'm still working on stuff, it's just been slow because I've been reworking how the game handles the textures a bit, that way things are more compatible whenever I make more ports in the future.
