That should do just fine.

Did you unzip the Switch Hactool and put your prod.keys in the same folder?

(we can continue like this, line by line, or you can skip ahead and tell me the error message or when you get stuck/confused.)
line by line would be good. just opened the hactool file and placed prod.keys by it. Black window opened up for a second then closed.

You were supposed to unzip the zip file and then place your prod.keys in the same directory. There should be no black windows opening. Please do exactly what the instructions called for. Do you have a folder with both hactool.exe and prod.keys in it?

Yes. My bad.

This is what I see.

I can still boot into CWF even if i updated to 14.0.0
I use sd setup to make my sd card
I highly doubt it but if you want to prove it, then post a picture of being in CFW while on firmware 14.0. If your System Settings says firmware 14.0 with Atmosphere, then you're telling the truth.

ok but i am at bed and my switch is to the stock firmware so tomorow

Apologies if this is in the FAQs. Googling gave me a lot of more dated answers.

My OFW switch and its emuNAND are both on the latest 13 FW. What happens if I update the OFW to 14? Will that break anything on my emuNAND? Is there a specific way I should update?

Hi,
The rule is to never update your system when a new fw is released. Just wait for atmosphere to be updated.

That’s actually one of the benefits of this setup...

Yes, your OFW/Sysnand can be upgraded to 14.0.0 and it will not break your Emunand. Sysnand and Emunand are essentially two separate systems. Best practice is to just use the regular Nintendo Upgrade service since OFW should be squeaky clean anyway. Your Emunand will remain where it is and continue to run on 13 without interfering. Enjoy!

If you go into the SX OS menu, as in the one before you launch CFW, there is an emunand tab. It should display whether emunand is enabled or disabled. I should also strongly advise against following any video guides as they are always outdated & not made by any trusted developers. If you must follow a guide, follow a text-based one such as this.
This is the reply that contained the text based guide.

Hi again guys. I recently purchased an 1TB mSD for my OLED Switch, and it should arrive by Thursday. Instead of having to redownload all of my games, can I just copy the current mSD contents to my computer, and then just copy everything over to the new mSD card? Help appreciated :)

Typically emunand takes up about 30G. You can trim it down if it bothers you.

Are you on an OLED Switch?
I have V1 Switch, Unpatched Erista unit. Any idea why the emuNAND taking up larger space than usual? I followed THIS GUIDE to the letter, and somehow my emuNAND is different than others. I'm asking this because i did read somewhere that emuNAND takes up around the same size of Switch Internal Storage, so around 30gb like you said.

And i encountered a rather confusing issue after setting up the emuNAND. My switch now depletes the battery faster than usual. The battery goes down from 100% to 0% in the span of 18 hours, even though it's complete shutdown (turned it off in hekate menu). I'm sure it's not the joycon draining the battery, because both are fully charged before i turned off my Switch. I checked the battery info using hekate, and the battery seems okay (still has around 90% capacity). This has happened twice. This is so strange, never happened before. Thanks in advance!
