Can anyone help me with installing games please?

I have tried to install two different NSP game files but both games result in a blank tile with a 'loading' icon in them and trying to launch the game from the tile fails.

I did some googling on how to install NSP games and got myself DBI, i am installing to emunand.

The other game problem i have come up against is installing a physical cart to the SD, i can install the game fine (mario odyssey) but the game then wants to download an update before it will run which i obviously cant do from CFW, how do i get around that please?

These questions are sort of subjective. Your experience (or anyone else’s for that matter) will be wildly different. Rather than take up space debating that point I’ll just rip through them with the aforementioned disclaimer in effect…

V1 myself. Pondered a V2 but there are a few (arguably worthless) functions I wanted to have. Considered a V3 but then realized all my rap money hasn’t come in yet.

Portable 99% of the time. V2 gets “better battery performance” due to being more efficien….battery is the same.

Many are, some aren’t. You’re buying a few steps above grey market. Sometimes your chips are gonna be stepped on. Comes with the territory.

‘No downside. They’ve all been out for quite some time now and confirmed to work well together. No downside. Only upside. Please review release notes for changes…

My hacked switch was on 13.0.0 with Amosphere 1.1.1 and I tried to do Match Version with Local Users to update Smash Bros, not realising that functionality also updates the switch firmware. Console rebooted into Hekate and I get an error saying package1 not found when trying to boot to sysCFW. Presumably I just need to update Atmosphere to 1.2.6,

you are 100% correct with the reason why and the solution to fix. Upgrade to latest Atmosphere to fix. Do fusee.bin and Hekate while you’re there. CFW guide in my sig if you need one.

None…everything will be better.

Will this have burnt the fuses?

No…Hekate bypasses fuse burning. As long as you boot this way you will not burn fuses. If you boot OFW after upgrading Sysnand only then will you burn a fuse.

I am looking into buying a V1 switch. I'd prefer to use gamestop or amazon, just because I'm converting an amazon gift card into gamestop or just using it on amazon. Apologies if this is a question nobody likes to see but I don't want to go through a tired process of purchasing something that I don't want having to return it wait for a refund or exchange etc.

Anybody have any tips/good luck using gamestop or amazon?

I dunno, maybe get creative and show up in person at GameStop to see if you can find a cool sales guy that will let you check serial numbers?

Chip modders are around but are going to be careful about advertising. Might want to let folks know the area you’re in.

Do you have the ES, FS, & Loader patches? If not, download them from this thread. I also highly recommend using TinWoo Installer to install your .NSP files as I personally use it & never have any issues. As for your other problem, just pirate the update like you would a game.

Nope, didnt have any of those, dowloaded TinWoo and will stick on the switch in a bit.
I've just downloaded the files patch files you linked, they come in two folders named bootloader and atmosphere, do i just put the contents in the bootloader and atmosphere folders on my switch or do i need to do other things?

You can just merge the folders from the patches with the ones currently on your SD card.

The guide I typically recommend doesn’t use python (that I know of…could be wrong here.)
Can you please reply to the thread? The one you replied to has no context so I’m not sure what was done over the weekend.

Yes, you can keep your OFW on 11.0.0 and also run Atmosphere on 13.2.1. You wouldn’t have to convert to Spacecraft.

There is also a link in my sig for Dual Boot Atmos/SXOS if you’d like to keep both…it’s fairly advanced though so you might want to just migrate from SXOS to Atmosphere and be done with it.

edit: read up a little on spacecraftNX...very cool stuff! You absolutely could go that route if you just want to migrate fully to Atmosphere.

Yes. I went to your first link and downloaded hactool and switchtoolbox. i also got a copy of the nsp file for the Nintendo Switch Sports playtest. but if i need to grab another one for another game, i will.
