SO i'm just wondering, has anyone ever tried getting the original 2000 Deus Ex working on a Wii yet? What challenges would be involved in doing that? i tried googling to see if anyone had made or started anything but couldn't come up with anything SPECIFICALLY because all the search results were polluted by the release of Human Revolution on the Wii U.

So, re: some of the PC games plugins, there's a few corrections that i think should be done.

1. For \ROMS\Quake\Q1: renamed hipnotic.qw0 to "Quake Mission Pack No 1 Scourge of Armagon.qw0", this way it actually links up with the database files. Similarly, rename rogue.qw0 to "Quake Mission Pack No 2 Dissolution of Eternity.qw0" for the exact same reason. I can confirm that doing this provides a better end result in the PC games coverflow.
2. Same exact reasoning, but in \wiiflow\plugins\Exult, rename blackgate.game to "Ultima VII part 1 - The Black Gate.game" and, similarly, rename serpentisle.game to "Ultima VII part 2 - Serpent Isle.game". Again, this makes these coverflow titles actually link to the database.... although, i haven't tested this particular solution, i actually modified the ini and xml "Game Name" fields to blackgate and serpentisle respectively, to get the desired results, but i couldn't actually do that for the Quake 1 mission packs because Rogue is a completely separate title for the PC, so i changed the game files instead instead and it still worked. Ergo the same solution ought to work for the Ultima VIIs

Is there any way to have all 3 episodes of Spear Of Destiny installed at once? Or do you have to pick the episode and only install that?

I am not sure, I have not played only tested to make sure it was working. Guessing you have to pick episode individually.

Here is a list of all emulator plugins that are set to be included in the upcoming release. I've cleaned up a few dozen dol files that were not actively supported by ini and removed a few ini files that had no emulator dol.

I've found and fixed a few mistakes I have made also. I've added some missing ini files and added a few more emulator plugins along the way.

I have changed the Hexaeco plugins CFG save path for all Hex emulators because the savestate was not working correctly as well as changing some GB,GBC,GBA magic numbers.

I'm in the process of testing the leftover RA libretro emulators to see if the latest 1.10.1 are an improvement.

Things left to do...
1. Test/Clean all PCE-TG16 plugins
2. Figure out why ZX Spectrum plugins cannot recognize tap/tzx files.
3. Remove a few plugins that are not working (Fuse ZX libretro - virtual keyboard not working) one I can think of ATM.

I'm shooting for V8 release within the next 3-5 days. In the mean time, if you would like to leave suggestions regarding the plugin list, I am eager to read your thoughts.

Oh, uh i should probably say here: the only way I got GX4000 working on my CRT was by importing \config\cap32 from the "Retroarch cfg files for LCD widescreen v2" folder, but it shrinks the image in a weird way (probably because they're not meant for CRT).

If I don't import those files, then the GX4000 emulator just shows the Amstrad CPC console, which is very weird behavior. Either way, there's something in those cfg files that is essential to making the GX4000 emulator work like at all, on CRT or otherwise.

If i had to guess the best way to get all three SoD games on simultaneously, it would be "duplicate the plugin resources". So like, i'm gonna try turning WolfensteinSOD.ini into WolfensteinSOD1.ini, and 2 and 3 as well, and then turning \apps\SoD into \apps\SoD1, \apps\SoD2, and \apps\SoD3. It'll involve making two more magic numbers for those plugins and then adding those plugins to the PC plugin sourceflow list. I see no reason why this wouldn't work. The only issue i see is that without editing DOS.ini and DOS.xml, there's no way to distinguish between them with the game titles or anything. My plan was to actually just keep all three plugins using the same "Spear of Destiny.game" dummy launch file for now.

Edit: Also, the ZX Spectrum fbzx tapes plugin doesn't seem to be displaying any ROMs at all. I think it's being caught up in the "disk/tape/sideX" filter? I think "tapes" matches the filter so everythig in that directory just gets hidden, if i had to guess what's happening here? Come to think of it, the same thing happened when Amstrad CPC games were in \apps\wiituka\DISKS...

Edit 2: Can confirm, if i change the tapes plugin ROM directory to fbzx-wii\tape, it recognizes the ROMs in there. Is it possible to alter the regex in a way where it only ignores the match if it's not part of a directory name? So i guess that would be if there are no forward or backslashes after the match?

EDIT 3: I think i figured out why the wiiflow PC wasn't capturing Theme Hospital: in CorsixTH.ini, the "rompartition" is = 1... and i think it should be -1? I'm about to test this but i suspect this will fix the issue.

Edit4: My spear of destiny fix did NOT work :(

Doing more testing on the Hexaeco emulators, I've found the save states are working correctly, so there will be no changes to the CFG save paths. I think I had a prior save CFG in my GG/GBC folders and was causing conflicts but it is working correctly now. It is a big relief since there would be much more editing involved:). ROMS/0_HEXAECO_cfg folder will still be used.

Dunno if this is useful, but i made some altered sound effects for SegaCD and Satellaview. As well as SNES and N64, which I think are more a matter of taste, but consider adding the SegaCD and Satellaview SFX

@Tetsuo Shima or @fledge68 may have an answer for that. I have a few CRT sets but have never got around to using them with the Wii.

I've discovered I have file corruption on my SD which would explain some of my recent issues with a handful of emulator plugins. I have only few things to test and still need to add some recent suggestions. Then double-triple check things before attempting to release the next pack so there aren't too many errors.

@RunningSnakes One nit from eyeballing the planned v8 list:

Not64 has a newer release (20211116) than the listed (20210829) at https://github.com/extremscorner/not64/releases
Dropping in the dol to an older plugins pack was seamless in my setup, and I haven't noticed any degradation as compared to the August release.

what happens if you omit the lcd widescreen cfgs and try to play gx4000 on a widescreen?

@chrondelta

I got around to testing your name changes for the Quake and Ultima VII games.

Both Quake missions work correct after making name edits. However changing .game names breaks Exult Ultima VII support for me just returning to WFL. Do you have this working on your side? and are you using SD or USB if it is working correctly for you.

Also, what were your results while testing Corsix Theme Hospital?

you're using incorrect plugin .ini file.

Use this one made by @matto21:

[PLUGIN]
magic=57493634
coverColor=ffffff
coverFolder=N64
fileTypes=.n64|.v64|.z64|.zip
romDir=wii64/roms

Also please use the latest Wii64 1.3 WiiFlow MOD (latest one is Beta2) here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii64-beta-1-3-with-wiiflow-compatibility.609418/
