looking for resources on how to make a ds romhack

I want to make a romhack with basically the same relation to kirby squeak squad that grandpooworld has to super mario world
Going to need more context than that.

Graphics editing.
Level editing
Music/audio editing
Gameplay editing (starting with cheats and working on up through recoding the game).

There is not much already done with Kirby DS games for whatever reason (Super Mario is fairly well hacked in its various guises) so you might be facing a bit of an uphill if you are coming into this completely cold.
