looking for resources on how to make a ds romhack

I want to make a romhack with basically the same relation to kirby squeak squad that grandpooworld has to super mario world
Going to need more context than that.
Broadly speaking
Text editing
Graphics editing.
Level editing
Music/audio editing
Gameplay editing (starting with cheats and working on up through recoding the game).

There is not much already done with Kirby DS games for whatever reason (Super Mario is fairly well hacked in its various guises) so you might be facing a bit of an uphill if you are coming into this completely cold.

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution. -

Man, that's beyond my brain
I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though -

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.+1

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
