ROM Hack Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Cheat Database

Getting a crash and then "The software was closed because an error occured." when starting the first Elite 4 on BD. Tested it without cheats / sys modules enabled, downgrading the update, and also transferred the save to another Switch and the error carries on occurring.

I assume I've corrupted my save file somehow with cheats from here or pkhex. Anyone have any solutions, or a save file for just before the elite 4?

Depends on what you've been doing?
Can you list the cheats you've used?
Have you travelled to places out of sequence with the walk through walls code?
Also do you use any game mods, like the true size scale on gamebanana?

Cheats: No encounters, max repel steps, ignore evolution conditions, item count doesn't decrease, 2x speed holding B. Nothing that should trigger events in weird sequences. My worry was that at one point, all the cheats were auto enabled before I fixed that, but I don't think I saved after I noticed that (I may have, but I don't notice anything different.

PKhex: Changed skin colour/model, rivals name, gave myself all outfits and wore Platinum outfit throughout most of the game. (I've tried battling E4 without Platinum outfit but still crashes).

Strange because I cannot find anyone else reporting crashes at this location. If you fancy having a look I could upload my SAV but not sure how useful that would be, because I can't find a pre E4 SAV to compare it to and don't fancy playing through the story again on a new save.

My guess is that in pkhex, you have accidentally changed something you didn't mean to by accident and now it's causing issue.

It does. The timing has to be specific, just after your select you starter.
It's much easier to use pkhex, or an encounter code.

Yeah, confirmed, the one in the file doesn't work. Here's the one I did a bit ago.

Works for both BD & SP 1.1.3

My guess is that in pkhex, you have accidentally changed something you didn't mean to by accident and now it's causing issue.

Thanks for your help btw, solved the problem. It was because I changed my character model / skin colour. Changing it back in PKhex fixed it. Looked like it had an issue loading the player graphic right before the battle starts.

well the cheats work in Yuzu the ones where there is no need to press keys damn took me some time to find out how but it was actually easier than i thought

Yes, the cheats that don't use pointers will work with yuzu, as long as there's no activation button.
Ryujinx works with the activation buttons, if you'd prefer.

I am using a brilliant diamond card at 1.0.0, and have it updated to 1.1.3 in emunand. I know it is specifically the cheat file as when I remove it the game plays fine.

Update your cheat files again. I just did with the current file that is there and no issues. Make sure you arent using the master copy ones in it. That one has too many codes and will cause issues.

Be careful with the invincible code…used it a couple times but it likes to randomly crash the game.

Yep. Not sure why it is doing this only for brilliant diamond. All other games work fine with cheats.

*Update*
I fixed it, kind of. Just put like the 6 cheats I want to use in the file and now it plays fine. Just do not understand why this is the only game that the cheats default to on even though I have that turned off.

all i wanted is to get some cheats and not figure out how to build a fucking rocket

and instead of a billion gba temp threads for all kinds of different games, why is a cheatdatabase not properly sorted on github?

For the love of god, please change the folder structure to something like:

So people can just grab the folder they need and place it into the atmopshere/contents/<tid>/cheats folder themself.

In your first post is a zip to download with the folders "15-01-22 Main codes" and "MASTERCOPY ALL CODES DO NOT USE" but they have exactly the same files. why is this a thing? Also, "bc259f7ee8e79a49.txt" has wrong line endings.

Sorry but how did you earn the Developer role on this forum??
