Hacking PKG Games Online?

Hello everyone,

I am on Evilnat 4.88 and I was wondering can I play PKG games from PKGi online? (Mainly I wanna play COD now)
I am using psn patch to go online to sync trophies only usually (L3 R3 R2 combo) but now I want to try to play online. I am not planning to mod or anything I just wanna play vanilla online. Can I and what is my ban risk?

P.S what about playstation plus cloud backing up? Can I do that on CFW?

there's always a risk when going online, but you've mitigated that fact by being on the latest cfw. your chances of being banned are probably low, but there's really no way to guarantee it. as far as cloud backing up with psn+, you probably can, but as I've mentioned: you shouldn't use your main account on any hacked systems just in case, especially with sony systems, because they ban both system and account, which could affect multiple systems. this actually happened to me, and I don't even play the ps3, never really have. it affected my ps vita, pstv, and ps4, so I had to migrate everything, games and saves, to a new account. I'm now using separate accounts on each system except the vita/pstv use the same one. I lost all trophies though and some dlc on the ps4.

I understand.. It's interesting as i have my vita spoofed and online 24/7 for maybe a couple of years now ban free. I do use the same account tho on all consoles (my ps4 & 5 too) for trophy collecting.

Legit multiplayer with PSN Patch... What exactly is the ban risk then? I understand it's not 100% but why exactly is that? Don't i get my history / syscalls wiped?

the problem is we don't know what sony can or cannot see. plus, afaik, syscall 8 isn't wiped, because it's the syscall that reenables syscalls by going to system update or network settings. there has to be one still intact for it to be able to do that.

Then what if i use webman to boot with syscalls already never touched by cfw? Aka booting straight with cfw disabled, woulndt that work? Or am i missing something?

don't know. the point is that we don't know what sony can or can't see. I remember once habib telling me that it would be extremely easy to tell if someone had changed or spoofed their idps, because the idps is in eid0 and eid5. only one of them is changed with either, so if sony were to compare the two and they weren't the same, they'd know something was up.

it really wouldn't be hard to find out if someone was using cfw, it's just how much effort sony wants to put into it especially with it being a legacy system now.

One more question that I have bout the PKG games. The buyer says its bought from myself & reactpsn. I was thinking isnt that a problem? Cause i clearly havent bought those games, or is it something i shouldnt be bothered with?

a good example is that deleting history is basically just deleting certain files that are recreated. if the file with your history is blank yet you have trophies for games, then that's a red flag right there.

you don't have to use reactpsn anymore. you just need the rap in exdata of hdd0 or usb0's root, then boot the game or if you want to mass install them, you can in cfw settings/tools over network settings. one of the biggest issues with sony's way of doing things is that they don't verify that it's even a sony system downloading the content from their servers, so you could download psp, ps3, vita, ps4, maybe even ps5 stuff from your pc. Nintendo seems to have put a stop to that with the 3ds and the switch, so it has to be downloaded elsewhere.

Have trophies for games? Like in general you mean or for the current session?

like in general, but according to psdevwiki, I think the ps3 only records last game played, so it's not really a history. the three files that are encrypted by the vsh then sent to sony's servers are in your users folder. we don't know how to make a fake one, so all apps that delete history just delete the files. the files are recreated immediately, but they're blank.

Well i sync trophies after i finish with a game session. Does that mean im sending a blank history file when i just finished playing? From what i understand from you doesnt that mean im f-ed?

sony doesn't seem to care too much about that, but like I said, we don't know what sony looks for. they're pretty inept when it comes to detecting hacked systems, but that doesn't mean that people never get caught. they didn't have enough safe guards in place, because if you recall, they thought the ps3 was unhackable, so they took few precautions with such things. that's why you never know with the ps3. they don't seem to care about the vita and the ps4 can't even sign in, so it's mostly the ps3 that has sony's attention when it comes to bannings.

All you said was very helpful thanks... im still extremely conflicted tho... even if you foget about cod there are games i wanna plat with MP trophies... I really dont know what to do, maybe i should just go for it? I have every precaution possible

that's why I'm hesitant. I got banned once, and I'm not exactly sure what I did. I don't want the risk, because it just takes one mistake to get caught somehow. that's why I made another new account with the ps5, which will be my legit account. I don't want to tell you what to do, but I do want to say, be careful, especially if you care about trophies and purchases. it kinda pisses me off that sony bans accounts as well. it gives you almost no real incentive to go legit if you get banned, because you're liable to be pissed about it.

Hey sorry to bump this but is HFW safer? I only wanna play ps3/2/x games really. Can HEN do that? Would switching be easy? And finally is it really safer?

you have to use ps2 classics with hen, which is somewhat a pita, but it's really not so bad I guess. couldn't say if it's any safer. probably, but it's not like there's no risk with that either. I personally wouldn't worry about it, just know that you need to be careful. it seems to be about what games you play more than anything else. some like cod and gta 5 are high risk.

btw, I just turned on my ps3 and renamed it to something with godreborn instead of ps3-186 or whatever the system named it. I plan to rename my user name as well, then make a backup of the xregistry and save it on my hdds. I think it will be perfect then.
