How do you edit your items? I am able to get all the other parts of the editor to work without issues, but the Items screen is just blank for me.

Is it possible to color check genetic entries?
It would be nice if the properties and types of genes (Power, technique, speed) were also indicated.
I think it would be better to organize them separately on a sheet.
It would be nice if the skills according to the genetic options were also displayed.

So after a gang of testing we have come to the conclusion you can edit genes but you have to know that monster can have that gene. After you know that monster can have that gene you can give him whatever genes he can learn. So my best advice is to give a monster a gene he can learn and then if you want to put it on lets say your elder dragon rite of channeling it on there and your good to play online just did that myself and it let me play with to xl plus 2 genes that i took from 2 other edited monster...

so what we need next is a matrix of Monsties with compatible Genes

Can you give an example of a non compatible gene? At the moment I am only changing genes from S M L to XL.

What we mean by incompatible genes are genes that are unnaturally evolved in a monstie.

I do not pretend to know much from the little that I know, all genes can be theoretically channeled from one Monstie to another. However for some unknown reason, if you manually edit the gene slots with some, sometimes it triggers the game to reject online/coop play as it knows the save was tampered with.

Capcom was clear about this and gives the Corrupted data that rejects online play to be caused by edited saves.

so the best bet is determine which particular monsties can originally get certain genes, save and edit the genes of those monsties with the right genes and then channel thos genes to the favorite monsties.

use the monstiepedia and read the Gene in it, every monstie has at least 2-3 "!" mean their core Genes always in..
the rest is random with Rainbow / Gold Egg pattern, and ??? mark mean Rare Gene

Nah, nothing happened in my case, the rainbow gene was intact and nothing happened to my save file. In any case, always have a backup for your save file whenever you're editing, just to be safe.

FYI, corrupted data in MHS2 does not mean you won't be able to load your save, or won't be able to continue your game.

In MHS2 corrupted data is the prompt/notif that appears when you try to do Coop play.

Just because you were able to load and continue your game with edited save files does not mean your save data is not flagged as corrupted.

I'm not sure why you're explaining this but just to be clear, I am only sharing and reporting my personal experience, not to invalidate your findings or other's. So far, I haven't been having problems with my online CO-OP, and that's his concern so I'm giving my own assurance that nothing has happened to me that deters me from playing online/ co-op.

You need cfw in order to edit saves

the error happend because you gave a monster genes they he does not learn on his own in order to give genes like that you need to give the monster that learns that gene. the rite of channel it onto the monster you want to have to avoid that message
