Hi

My issue is that while in CFW and the switch is docked the TV flickers then goes black and stays black no signal. Handheld is perfect in CFW no issues.

Booting in NSW FW there is no issues on TV or handheld.

Tried different HDMI cables.
Tried different TV's
Official Dock used.

Hi

Iam back with an update through my own investigation;

tried 2x official docks. Official
tried 3x different HDMI cables. official
tried 3x different TV's.

Switch will not work in TV MODE NSFW or CFW.

checked all setting like 1080p and 720p in NS menu ...

Works for about 30 seconds loose picture on TV to black screen no signal....

Any ideas please....

Had a similar thing with my Switch and PPSSPP at a friends house.

What I did was, put his Switchin first (which worked), then afterwards swap it for mine.
Suddenly it worked and the picture stayed.

(Don't ask me why or how...)

Gotta admit, that HDMI dock is one flimsy piece of plastic.

Also consider the ac-adapter.
Maybe swap it aswell (It *must* have 15V for the dock, it's one very hungry beast)

Just out of curiosity:

Do RCM Dongles and the like work ?

Have you got a USB-C Cable at hand and can try if "mtp-server-nx" will work for you ?

It'd be interesting to see if this is a connection issue, or a software side issue.
(Also maybe try those "third party" connector only things that are not docks)

if it's no longer working in both OFW or CFW in different docks you might have a damaged usb-c port
does it still charge?

Hi Guys thanks a million for all the time replying....

The port C charges fine ive just rebooted but to factory settings and after 20 - 30 seconds i got a black screen with "no signal" on the screen.

RECAP / ISSUE: Both CFW or OFW will not display on TV (Displays for 20secs to up to 10 mins)
Handheld no issues at all.
Tried;

  • Different Official Docks x2
  • Different HDMI cables x2
  • Different TV's x3 (2x4k - 1xfHD)
  • Different Official power cables x2
  • Restored back to Factory Settings

"at"Notreally" RCM's D's work great.

mtp-server-nx never heard of this software so ill look into what its for.

Guys if anyone has any tips please give me a reply this is beyond crazy whats happening here :)

UPDATE: If you DONT start games on TV mode the picture on the TV stays on !!!!!!! menu is fine its only when you start games i get a black screen.. ahhhhh lol

play around with the TV output settings in the Switch Settings try 720p or change to 1080p

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. Did you find any solution to fix this issue?
