Well it looks correct. Just to double check, you continue holding R when you press a game correct? You do not let go of the R button at any point?

I start Switch by inserting SXOS Dongle and Pin 10 grounded. I run SXOS and go into Homebrew and launch payload launcher. I select Fusee-primary.bin from latest Atmos 19.3 which I have installed. It boots atmos - sept - Deepsea and shows main window. If I try pressing Album it crashes. I have only one game if I try to hod R contnuously while selecting the game it goed to select player. The failure is at ALBUM selection.

After crash I can get to Hecate but then a reboot of sxos locks after first screen

I highly recommend using TinWoo Installer instead. Its much simpler and drama-free.
I'll try to install it, thanks.
Its an installer and its supposed to return you to the HBmenu. If you exit HBmenu you should see Tinfoil installed along with your games
I know but I don't get the installation screen (loading folders etc.), instead the screen blinks for a couple of seconds and Tinfoil is not found on the home menu.

Alright now I think I found the issue. You're using a homebrew application to launch a payload. I recall this being an issue exclusively with SX OS. What I recommend doing instead of using a homebrew app to launch a payload is to launch a payload from the SX OS menu or chainload. And by SX OS menu, I mean the menu that you can trigger before launching CFW. You can still use the same payload but this should properly launch you into Atmosphere.

I'm having issues. I just modded the switch and everytime I try to load any Home brew program my atmosphere crashes to an error code. I'm currently running firmware that I had on the switch before modding, 11.0.1. I'm running atmosphere 0.19.3 and hekate 5.5.6. I downloaded the kip and exef patches from one of these threads and my lithium crashes. I'm just at a stand still. I need help if anyone has any suggestions or files fixes or firmware or whatever please help.

Lithium is an outdated title installer. You need to use a better and more updated one. I highly recommend using TinWoo Installer instead.

IT doesn't allow me to reply ecause I'm new, but @Draxzelex

Hey thanks for the info. As a follow up, I stopped trying to install over USB and for some reason placing them on my SD card first and then using Goldleaf cleared any errors I was receiving.

Thanks a bundle

Back in 2019 when I cracked my switch emunand didnt really exist it was only on SX OS and I was using reinx and atmosphere. If I want to go online with the games I already own and keep the other stuff on emunand, should I restore my NAND from 2019 and crack this again to get a cleaner sysnad and separate emunand? Im pretty sure I havent burnt any fuses because I have had autoRCM on when updating with choudujoir.

If you have a clean eMMC backup, now would be the time to restore it. And just as an aside, even if you did burn fuses, this would not prevent you from restoring your backup. This would only prevent you from being able to boot up the console without RCM. And since consoles hackable via RCM can always be hacked, fuses become a non-issue as long as you don't mind using the RCM exploit for your console's lifespan.

dilemma.....
so i ditched sxos as i f*cked up and updated to 12.x so now running AMS m 19..15? (system setting/firmware)
i used AMS updater so maybe why wierd build number
started from a fresh sdcard. now i have been struggling to manage my library. 1st off when i booted from fresh sdcard i still see games that were installed on sdcard (i dont install on console memory). i thought they were saves so i left some and deleted a few i wouldnt play anymore. it was very tedious as i was using home/settings and looking for games with 0.0mb.
now i am about half way thru and just getting tired of it and tired of these errors.
every dump i have worked previously on sxos. but at that time i was using goldl33f and gold tree to install from pc or off a external hdd. now that im on 12.x seems the only STABLE way is to use tinfoil/usbfs but i keep getting errors like "failed to load or read metadata or unknown xci magic and a few others.i have tried "reinstall NCA's" with on and off, i have unassigned code enabled and as i mentioned before they al worked previously.

So i guess my questions...
1.am i doing something wrong?
2.are the games i see on home screen that are not installed just game-saves?
3.can i use checkpoint on 12.x yet? or a way to export user profiles and saves(there is 4)?
should i just remove sdcard and reformat device after exporting profiles and saves?
i dont mind and almost would prefer to start over so i know whats what.
thanx in advance

after messing around a little bit i notice some games work even though they have the cloud above them

  1. Since you switched from SX OS to Atmosphere, its possible you are missing the patches to launch any backups that you have installed or are trying to install. You can find those patches in the pinned thread on this forum
  2. I don't recall the technical reason but the Switch remembers any game launched even if the game is not currently installed. For example, the first time you insert a cartridge, it creates an icon without any save data. That icon will persist even if you remove the cartridge. The only way to remove it would be to properly uninstall the game which you would do from the System Settings
  3. You can use Checkpoint but it cannot be the one from the official GitHub page. It needs to be recompiled and updated for firmware 12.X but for some reason, the developer has not gotten around to doing that. SciresM has but since he only updated it for firmware 12.X, he may have introduced and/or kept any bugs in it. If you want an official release of a save manager that works on firmware 12.X, JKSV is a great alternative
  4. Personally, I don't see the point in starting completely fresh as SX OS and Atmosphere have little to no compatibility issues so most users tend to not have any issues when transitioning CFW. Some users have gone as far as keeping a dualboot of both CFW in the event TX updates their CFW or because the exclusive features of SX OS are too tempting to give up

i dont know why tv manufactures put the hdmi ports in dumb locations so the cables have to stick out, and then down, putting strain on the ports. Instead of having the ports along the bottom edge of the tv facing downwards.
