Hello!

I have just bought a pikachu edition 2ds xl online with the ARM11 issue

the only problem is it doesn’t have an SD card so I cannot fix this in the usual way.

is there a way I can fix this with a new SD card

all replies are appreciated

thank you

if it's hacked, it could be an issue with outdated luma on the ctrnand. putting luma 10.2.1 on the sd card should fix it (if that's the problem).

I believe it was hacked but I’m not sure. Do I just put the luma 3ds on an empty SD card and it should boot?

the fault it was RMA with was “after system update system won’t boot” which leads me to believe he did a system update and crashed the ds

in theory if I put luma 3ds on a fresh sd card it should boot?

possibly. if it's hacked, you may have to use a ctrnand transfer if it crashed while updating.

how would I go about that? I know how to install luma 3ds but that’s as far as my knowledge goes sadly

I have luma 3DS backups from other systems if that will help?

I also have a second 3ds running luma 3ds I bought this as I thought it may be an easy fix but it doesn’t have an sd card

First at all, try with the new SD card and this post. If the problem persists after that, let know us

PS: it would be better if you put an image (or a video, if you will) with the exactly error description

@fmkid to the rescue! :D I have a hard time with some posts where the solution is simple. I usually don't think that way and fear the worst.

you might need 10 posts. what some people do is write out a link with dot (.) and whatnot.

Well, it's quite possible that this ARM11 error was just associated to an updated system firmware (the typical PM error because the 11.14 FW). But is always better consider all the possibilities from lowest to highest

And bingo! That's just an updated console with an older Luma version on CTRNAND.

Just try with the link to the post that I said before

thank you so much both of you. My first time here and this forum is so helpful and responsive.

I haven’t received the ds yet it’s in the post but now I’m confident I can fix this! Thank you so much! :)

Just an update

I solved the issue and got the luma updated, then removed it and factory reset the console for peace of mind and installed luma fresh again.

I wouldn’t of been able to do it with out both your help so it’s very much appreciated
