It is coming soon, 21 February Zelda birthday! I am so in hype mode right now i just wanna get to the day when Nintendo releases those Zelda remakes/port to the Nintendo Switch!

Me what i want is a Zelda Collectors Edition that contains the following : Zelda OOT/Majoras ,Windwaker and Twilight Princess or a version with Zelda 1 & 2 , Zelda Alttp and Skyward Sword.
A Game n watch Edition zelda 35th.
Skyward Sword + fictional*Zelda dream bonus quest.
And a lot of others Zelda goodie which i dont care that much.
So lets talk about what you tempers think we will get for the 35th Zelda Anniversary on the switch!

EDIT: Zelda Skyward sword Hd announced sad there is not bonus quest but hey looking good for zelda year!

Windwaker and TP HD are Wii U games and therefore must be ported like the entire rest of the library.

However just as Nintendo has shown they cannot count to 4 with Mario All-Stars (Galaxy 2), they will not include Majora's Mask.

So the remaining game must be either OOT or Skyward. And if its OOT, it will be the n64 rom with none of the 3DS enhancements, because they hate effort. I'm leaning towards OOT because replicating all the motion controls in Skyward, or providing controller-based alternatives, would be effort, and for a game that isn't even that fondly remembered.

There are rumors that Breath of the Wild 2 will be coming out Q2 2021. If that's the case, then a Breath of the Wild 2 announcement on February 21 is likely. In fact, even if Breath of the Wild 2 is coming out late this year (e.g. November, 2021), I would still consider a February 21 announcement likely.

I would really like to see a Wind Waker HD port to the Switch. That's my favorite game of all time.

You all talking about WWHD and TPHD... It's the 35th anniversary. It needs to be big. Give us HD remakes/remasters of the first 4 3D Zelda titles. Not to mention a remake of aLttP in the style of LA Remake.

Realistically we are looking at an SS HD release.

I think nintendo is focusing on the Mario one and leaving the Zelda one to the end of the year since there has been no hype for this

Am I the only one who would like to have a remake (not a port) of A Link to the Past released for the Switch? I know the game is already in the SNES Online since 2019 but a proper 3D game with exactly the same characters and storyline would be a dream and would make profit for sure if done well! :D

Apart from that, everything that was mentioned in the comments above sounds great! A G&W version of The Legend of Zelda seems to be the new thing, so let it be, as I actually enjoyed the SMB's version. :)

I've also read about the rumours of the release of BOTW2 to be now antecipated to Q2 2021, but tbh I don't know if that will happen... Nintendo may announce its release in February as someone said, but it may be out around Christmas time as a Marketing strategy.

Unless they have something else planned for that period. But what else could sell more than BOTW2? Maybe they don't even need to leave it for Christmas time. I don't know anything anymore.

well, if you ask me, i think that nintendo (if their smart), should defintaly do something even if it is minimum for zelda.
what that is/willbe? we'll just have to wait patenently for the 21st and see when the day comes around, if anything will happen at all.
nintendo has been rather lowkey tone/quiet for some time now, not relaseing many Good AAA games, most of the new games coming out recently (save for mario, bravely and some others), the reast have been rather shitty cheap games no one wants or even asked for.

well for zelda, nintendo might use the same exact fromula they used for mario 35th:

- game and watch console themed
- a all star colletion of the 3d best classics games (not remade/remastered), but emulation ports (lazy on nintendo's part?)
- a new title or port from an old forgotten console to switch (e.g. mario 3D world (WiiU -> switch) port.
- mecherndise? toys, underwaer etc. ( i ogt my mario's underwear 3x pack). good stuff.

i think nintendo will do this same thing for zelda if they decide to do something for it's 35th birthday.

we got a zelda colletion for the GC back in 2003, it had:

-Zelda Nes 1 & 2
-Zelda OOT
-Zelda MM (a rather bad port)
-Zelda WW demo
-Zelda Retro trailer
-Zelda WW Trailer

if we get a zelda 3D Allstars like mario as, it might be:

-zelda OOT (N64)
-Zelda WW (GC)
-Zelda SS (WII)

the format is the game that mario allstars had (1x N64/GC/WII) of each console?
so they should do the same for this one?

Twilight Princess HD seems like an obvious game for a hypothetical all stars pack, considering it would just be another easy port from the Wii U to the Switch.

So close now!! I'm hoping lesser known games get the attention they deserve! Mainly The Minish Cap! Its my fave 2D Zelda game, I recently replaced it and fell in love all over again
It is true that the gb/c gba Zelda deserve some big love but i don't think this gonna be in a collection.

It will be more likely like awakening on switch but i could be wrong and im sure Nintendo gonna focus on 3d games for the "Zelda all stars" but i wish too for a Minish Cap remade in 3d like A Link Between World even ALTTP and the Oracles would be amazing tbh!

I'd definitely be on board with that

Hopefully more information about BotW and possibly a release date.
I really want a remaster of Skyward Sword as it would work well with the JoyCons so the Switch seems like the perfect platform for it. The next Nintendo console might not have suitable controllers for Skyward Sword for all we know, so now is the perfect time.

Theyd havw to adhere to those who want to play docked though so it's unsure how they'd accomplished this

It may have to be docked/tabletop and JoyCons only. That does make it tricky for Switch Lite owners, but they still have the option of buying or borrowing JoyCons and playing in tabletop mode with a stand. Super Mario Party already did that anyway (though that came out before the Switch Lite)
Possible they could use the touchscreen as an alternate method of controlling the sword, swiping to attack. Everything else could be done with buttons. It wouldn't be optimal but at least Switch Lite owners wouldn't have to buy anything extra. And that's how some mobile games control so many people might be used to that already.
