I was thinking of buying a 2ds usb cable because I wanna be prepared for a trip and I want to take my 2ds with me, is there any risks of messing with the battery or with the insides of the 2ds the power source is a car usb port

U can just get 3ds car chargers to be on the safe side

The official charger has 4.6V nominal compared to 5.0V nominal voltage of USB.
Some people will say: "Doesn't matter – I have been doing it for X years and nothing bad happened." Some will say: "You must not connect USB charger!!"

I did some limited testing in 2019.

The decision is up to you. For my good consoles I tend to stay extra-safe and only use the official adapter.
