So basically with the accidental update to 11.0.1 all I can do at the moment is wait and hope someone updates something soon? Or at least at some point? Is there no other way to downgrade? Seems like it was too easy to brick the switch like this.
To downgrade, you would need access to CFW and as I explained earlier, Atmosphere doesn't support Mariko units at the moment and SX OS has yet to support 11.0.1. Also the console is not bricked; you just cannot load CFW namely SX OS.

Well I know it's not technically bricked but I cannot load anything for an undetermined amount of time and I've seen people act pessimistic about the SX OS update so right now so for now I just wanna slap myself from being careless or cry about ruining my Christmas present.

If you don't have a 11.0.0 NAND backup then no, Atmosphere current state on Mariko unit is still unstable.

I don't, because as I said I'm new to Switch and while I've seen the term nand thrown around I never understood what it's for. Only that now I wish I had it.

ok this is a very dumb question, but can i load into sx os without the modchip or sx pro (on a mariko switch)? I read the entire faq but could not get a definitive answer.

Hi everyone,
I will have a few questions as I get my head around all of this! And no doubt there will be more soon:)

1
My current system version displayed is 11.0.1 | AMS 0.16.2| E
Does the E indicate I am (successfully) using an emuNAND?

2
Via hekate If copied my eMMC BOOT 0 and BOOT 1, the Raw GPP and extracted a folder of Keys using lockpick.
I have these stored on my PC (and will back them up to an external drive too).
Can I safely delete the games that appear in Horizon? Will that free memory from the emuNAND, or will that remove the games from the Switch's internal memory?

3.
I installed an NSP via Awoo, and I receive a "Checking if the software can be played…" message. Awoo installer crashes when I try to update sig patches (it freezes).

I downloaded the sigpatches from iTotalJustice anyway, and moved them across.

I am injecting fusee-primary.bin via TegraGUI.

Is there an app I can search for in the hbstore which can confirm if I am using the latest updates/ verify the NSP I have installed work?

4. Are there any homebrew music making/ synth apps?

And lastly... I open the homebrew menu by holding R and clicking on a game. Can I exit the hbmenu back to Horizon, or do I have to reset again?

Thank you!

  1. Yes
  2. Deleting any games in sysMMC will not free up any memory in emuMMC. If those games are installed to the internal memory, they will be removed from there
  3. No because usually if it fails to install and you have the correct patches, then the .NSP file is faulty. Did you make sure to download the correct patches from TotalJustice? There are 2 sets of them after all
  4. Sorry I am not aware of any homebrew applications that are involved in making music
  5. You can exit the homebrew menu back to Horizon

I have 2 nintendo switches, one is not patched and one i use to play online.

What I want to be able to do is hack Pokemon Sword- (by making Pokemon's shiny / changing IV/EV, changing movesets etc.) and able to move them over to my Online Switch and play on there.

So basically, on 3DS, I go to homebrew and save manager and export/import save and go to pkhx and hack it there. I just want to do the same on the Switch for Pokemon Sword.

I would really appreciate if someone can guide me. Possibly a step by step guide.

i have a jig, usb type c, 64gb sd card

Please can someone help me. Thank you.

I have a problem with this error code and tried so many things to fix it yet couldn’t do anything to pass this error.

Fatal error: [NXBOOT]: Unable to identify package1

It started with me taking out my sd card and copying some cheat codes to content folder in computer. I put my sd card back in, let Hekate load again and the error code showed up.

I was on Atmosphere 14.0 and official firmware 10.2. I read that it might go away if I updated Atmosphere so I did that. I deleted atmosphere, sept, bootloader and switch folder and copied the new folders of Atmosphere 16.0 into my sd card. I also got the new sigpatches and Hekate. I updated the payload.bin in the RCMloader usb. Still nothing work.

I copied everything from my sd card to my hard drive and formatted sd card from exfat to fat32, and copied everything back in. Still didn't work.

So I am stuck there. I don't know what else I can do to fix this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance guys.

There is no guide for this sort of thing. All you really need to do is just make the Pokemon in the console that you don't play online then trade them over to the one you do play online. PkHex is still good enough to do the job and any save manager should be able to dump the data for you to use.

How do you load CFW? Meaning what software and/or hardware do you use to enter Atmosphere?

I always used my RCM loader to go to Hekate first. I never used Tegra before. And I never know how to go straight to Atmosphere without going through Hekate.

So when the error came up, I held down Power Button until it went black. Put the jig in right side controller, pressed Power Button and Vol Up, and then the RCM loader. The error always come up now when I do that. I did update payload.bin with the new fusee-primary.bin from Atmosphere github.

try upgrading your actual atmosphere and sept folder as well with the latest releases

I guess Lakka has a similar near zero ban-chance as has Android on the Switch?
