Dude I get your trying to help but don't link video guides please.
Just wait for the release of atmosphere 0.17.0 which will be compatible with Mariko switches
I didn't say he should use it, I said use it at his own risk since it is experimental.

s/No, emuMMC is either a singular file on your SD card or partition that is about the size of your eMMC. The partition method will be a literal separate partition on your SD card but both methods will read all other non-internal memory files from the same partition used by sysMMC such as homebrew applications
First of all, ReSwitched is a Discord server. Secondly, if you were stuck in "CFW mode", the console would be on. If the console is indeed on, then just perform a manual shutdown by holding the power button for 15 seconds. If the console appears to be off, then do the same thing to ensure it is off.
The point of CFW was never to go online with it. In fact, many people don't encourage you to go online with CFW because you can get banned. The actual point of CFW is to hack the console whether that involves piracy, mods, themes, or whatever else you want to do that Nintendo won't let you do.s/
Thanks Draxzelex. This bit confuses me, i was just reading about discord servers and to me they sort of sound like the old school MIRC? Is Discord just a network for talking and in this case sharing apps games for the modded switch? Also if i was not allowed to go "online" with my switch while using Discord what was the point behind it? Please do fill me in, just trying to understand now.
Yeaah ok i misread a reddit post on CFW - so i guess from wht i understand CFW is the constant mode in during which is running the custom os/firmware? soory or my ignorance.

Discord on the other hand isn't related to the Switch nor hacking. Discord is just a client similar to Skype that facilitates conversations between like-minded individuals. These individuals form groups known as servers and the one you just so happened to join was centered around Switch hacking. Discord is full of a wide variety of people not limited to those who own a Switch or hack them.
Also to confirm the device is off (i mean it looks like it and i have tried a couple of hundred push button combinations by now), my goal is to get it back and running, understand what I'm actually running and then how to maintain it and be able to play other games other than those that were installed. Definitely charged.GreatI think this is starting to make sense. I will check out the discord servers once i am hopefully back in xD So if i am understanding right my goal should be to boot up my device CFW mode so that i can get what ever emulator/mod i had running again? Now i am curious as to what i was actually running lol i assumed it was "reswitched" xD cheers

Personally I recommend using Awoo Installer and NS-USBLoader. They are what I personally use and I never have any issues. And yet another update, first thanks Draxzelex for getting me up to speed with what i was dealing with. I have succesfully rebooted my switch by re-injecting the payload Fusee_Atmosphere using TegraRCM.. i now have access to the switch and i can run the games i had before so this is great news... that said i am back to square one as i would like to add some new nsp or xci's using tin foil and the nut server ... i am looking into this but any help or recommendations on the best safest way to do this would be great...
I'm not quite sure what you mean but the Nintendo folder for emuMMC can actually be wherever you want on the SD card. I don't remember the name of the ini file off the top of my head but it lets you allocate where you want emuMMC to read the Nintendo folder. If you really wanted to, you can sysMMC and emuMMC read the same folder.Ah and the Nintendo folders are separated by a string of random numbers and letters between sysMMC and emuMMC?
Yes. DayBreak is another tool capable of performing system updates manually. Is it possible to update the systemnand manually using tools like choidujourNX or similar?
There are quite a few hardware differences between Erista and Mariko units so I am not sure it would go off without a hitch. That being said, I have never seen anyone try although that could be due to it being impossible. Can I install a V1 hackable Switch's motherboard into a V2 Mariko console and install CFW on it? Or will I run into issues?
How do i get homebrew off the album applet? I really want to see my photos but homebrew is in the way!

By default, yes. You can change it once you've set everything up but when you initially create an emuMMC, a separate folder is made.Yeah I understood it now, emuMMC makes a new folder for itself where it puts its Nintendo folder right?
Well, I guess I'll be trying that and then say something. There are quite a few hardware differences between Erista and Mariko units so I am not sure it would go off without a hitch. That being said, I have never seen anyone try although that could be due to it being impossible.
you don't need to update your system if you want to use the latest atmosphere.Question for people who use only emunand and never go online: is it necessary to update switch firmware when we update atmosphere? if we stay on a lower firmware and we just keep updating atmosphere, the switch runs with every new thing implemented in the CFW? I'll explain in a better way: a new official switch firmware adds a new function (for example ofw 10.0.0 introduced joycon's buttons mapping function); if i stay on ofw 9.X.X but i update atmosphere to latest version, will i have the button remapping function? thank you.
