guys, I've updated my switch to 11.0.1 today using this guide (first atmo+hekate, then sysmmc then emummc using tegraexplorer and daydream)

the current state is that it boots into atmo fine (showing latest version of os and atmo under system) but I am not able to get to the hbmenu pressing "R" - it simply loads album or tries to start the game. Nor will it start any game - tried a few, don't wanna try more not to corrupt the files as this always gives me "Could not start the software. Please try again from the HOME Menu." error.

Any ideas what to try to make all work again? I'd prefer not to have to rebuild the entire emummc from the scratch as I have "awoo-installed" a few hundred GBs worth of data so that would be unfortunate...

thank you!

Just hit the albums don't hold r, holding R brings you to the actual album. As for the game error, you need to add sigpatches, you can find those in another thread. The Atmosphere team is against piracy so you need to add sigpatches to each new release.

I' such a noob - seriously disappointed by myself :) thanks a lot, though the album had to be run with "R" too... will deal with the sigpatches, cheers man!

Recently did a clean install on a newly initialized switch(atm 0.16.2 ofw 11.0.1 hekate 5.5.1) followed the nh-server guide. I can't get goldleaf or checkpoint to run. Checkpoint crashes, goldleaf just kicks me back to hb menu.
Try using TinWoo.

When will the solderless sx core/lite's come out?
There is no guarantee that will ever come out. Just get an unpatched unit dude.

Must be getting closer -
No that is not a solderless option because that guy is using the SX Core/Lite.

Question, if I were to dump and then install my own physical games on an offline emuMMC, would that increase my ban chance in any way? would these touch sysNAND somehow, would my sysNAND try to "see" the files on the SD card?
What happens in emuMMC stays in emuMMC (and vice versa).

While its nearly impossible to get banned in the scenario you presented, unless you are running out of space on your current SD card, you don't need a second SD card.
How is the SD card and partition formatted?

How exactly did you update your firmware?

i dont have any cfw now..(only ofw now) i try sx os and its Stuck in Boot.dat screen...i think because of no 11.0.1 Support..

SX OS doesn't presently support 11.0.1. Downgrade to 11.0.0 or switch to Atmosphere.

TX's future is uncertain, so switching to Atmosphere is recommended.

Alright so the emuMMC will not share a general SD partition with the sysNAND but rather have its own? I ask because with emuNAND on the 3DS things sometimes kinda spilled over.

Yes and no. See unlike the 3DS, we have filed-based emuMMC so instead of a partition, the internal memory files are stored in...well, a singular file. However in either scenario, emuMMC will be reading files from the SD card from the same partition that sysMMC would use. However as I explained previously, there is no need for concern regarding Nintendo scanning files since there are many reasons why it would never work.

Ah so to confirm, emuMMC creates a file on the actual SD partition that acts as a virtual SD partition for the emuMMC separate from the actual emuMMC partition?

Is it possible to switch from SXOS to another custom firmware like Atmosphère's+Hackate using a switch lite? if possible is it difficult to make the change since its already hardware modded ?

You could load Atmosphere on the switch lite but Atmosphere is experimental, not ready for public use.

Hello gbatemp community! First post here... i purchased a modded nintendo switch - it was using "re-switched" and tinyfoil for games. Its a v1. Honestly it was working great but i figured i would try to add some more ncp's to it so i got a bigger sd card, copied over all the files from the original one and extracted some xci roms to it... unfortunatley when i was switching the sd cards the switch freaked out and now i have a feeling that i am stuck in CFW mode as i can not reboot it or get it to turn on nor charge... i am not too sure what i should do next... id love to keep it as it was (using reswitched but i am also open to other suggestions...i also want to be able to add games to it and to have some software exploit that will stop it from doing this again in thge future (when i bought it the seller told me that i should not let it power down).... i dont have any tools, rcm loaders nor dongles and i am really not sure where to start. I have just tried all the power button and bvolume pushes with with/without joycons but i havent had much luck... please give me a hand i was enjoying the xmas present a lot with my kids and now they say that i got greedy and santa made it brick lol

thanks in advance!

is there a special version or just the general version ?

it is of at your own risk, as it is still being worked on for Mariko motherboard, you need to compile your own build or find one as there isn't one on the official Atmosphere Github for Mariko Motherboard

This video kinda explains what to do.

No, emuMMC is either a singular file on your SD card or partition that is about the size of your eMMC. The partition method will be a literal separate partition on your SD card but both methods will read all other non-internal memory files from the same partition used by sysMMC such as homebrew applications

First of all, ReSwitched is a Discord server. Secondly, if you were stuck in "CFW mode", the console would be on. If the console is indeed on, then just perform a manual shutdown by holding the power button for 15 seconds. If the console appears to be off, then do the same thing to ensure it is off.

Dude I get your trying to help but don't link video guides please.
is there a special version or just the general version ?

Just wait for the release of atmosphere 0.17.0 which will be compatible with Mariko switches
