Hey,
I downloaded a patch pack for a game (A link to the past Redux), and one of the patches is an isp file that chips a msu file and its corresponded pcm file to the rom.
Now the end goal is to play it on my 3ds, and I understand it is possible to do so if I save the files in the same folder and run it through a snes emulator, but I want to know if there's a way to "solder" the msu file to the rom so I could could convert it to a cia file and run it without the emulator. Admittedly the main reasons are the convenience of running the game without a mediator program and my desire to make it all pretty and tidy with a nice banner, but these are reasons none the less.

Thanks in advance!
EDIT: It is worth mentioning that I discovered the whole world of rom hacking yesterday, so I'm a complete newbie

For MSU1 patched roms to work, they need to be supported by the emulator. The 3DS does not have an emulator that supports this afaik.

Bummers...
Though it's really weird that it can run a snes converted file without any emulator but once you want to add a fmv video you need the emulator.
Now I'm in a dilemma which is better: The game with it's own banner and logo but without the intro video or the game with an intro video but only through an emulator

It doesn't run a snes rom without an emulator, it just bakes the rom and emulator together in one cia that tells the emulator to run your rom straight away. All snes roms on a 3DS, whether official or homebrew, are run via emulation since there is no native snes hardware found inside the 3DS. The 3DS can do GBA and DS natively and that's it.
