Nintendo bans if you hacked your device.

Uh... Ok? I mean I have my Switch hacked since 2017 I think, and I haven't been banned yet, I even updated my Switch via CFW and online (not Choidujour NX) and everything is still fine.
Guess I will take your answer as "It will ban you" or maybe my question wasn't clear.

What I tried to say is if you have a non-legit game and I play it with the console connected to internet (not online-playing the game, just connected to internet) that will ban me, right? Same would apply if I use a legit game but pirated DLC?

how do I switch from SX OS to atmosphere? I'm not sure if it's because of the latest SX OS firmware but my Switch keeps freezing and then the battery getting drained from almost full to zero within hours for no reason. I read that I need to back up my NAND and make a restore. But I haven't found a detailed guide on the exact steps on how to do this, and I'm afraid I will mess things up accidentally and brick the console just doing those myself without knowing much. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

download hekate
Boot hekate > backup emmc raw, backup boot0/1
remove sx os from sd card
place atmosphere files on sd card and launch with fusee-primary
OR
use hekate and boot cfw

Get sigpatches for your booting method.
place in atmosphere folder
???
profit

Thanks a lot! I just finished backing up NAND, so the actual part of switching from one CFW to another is just simply switching the boot files? I thought it involved something more complicated since I thought you needed to restore the NAND or something, but if I understood correctly, the back up is only as a safeguard, not a requirement.
The only part I did not understand is the sigpatch for booting method. Can you please elaborate a bit on that? But if it's something I can find by simply searching online, I will do that instead.
Thanks!

After completed "NH Switch Guide", and while in Atmosphere --> Emunand. When checking CFW under System Setting --> System --> System Update, it shows "System Update is ready"
Is it normal or not? Previously, it shows FW version with letter E at the end.

This is normal if you have Wi-Fi settings stored in emuMMC.

Hello.. a friend of mine recently got banned out of nowwhere with a clean sysnand+EMUMMC setup. and since i have never really cared about online i offered to swap my unit for his.

My Switch has a sysnand only + atmosphere setup, and has never connected to the internet since, other than for updating firmware.

In order to give him my switch, I would need to fully restore it to stock making sure that there is not any ticket o key or anything dirty left. As far as I know, formatting from the system settings, would not clean it completely. I am right on stating that?

While googling, i came across this post from a year ago:

gist github com Karunamon d3938368c548a61a5a41281bb89f0e49 (Sorry i would'nt let me post the link, replaces the spaces with dots and dashes)

Its describes what i need to do, but its a little complicated and althouth I can undestand all the steps and would probably not have any issue following them, i was wondering if there was another simpler and more updated alternative.

And we now have Daybreak, and i remember that it has a "Reset to Factory Settings" option.

Do any of you know if this setting, would alse clear all the dirty inside the save folder in the nand?

Does any of you can confirm it it would work?, could I also try it, and then use goldleaf or any other homebrew to check the content of the nand, and verify it for my own?

Hi i'm not answering the question but i'm asking you an other one sorry for that,

how your friend got banned with the clean sysnand + emunand setup ? He was using incognito/90dns ? Did he told you how he got banned?

Because i'm using the same thing as him but with incognito and no wifi connection + airplane mode and i'm surprise + a little bit worry if he managed to get banned anyway

SXOS has inbuilt sig patches to launch games, but atmosphere and hekate don't have them by default and they need to be added by the user.

There are two lots of sig patches, one for if you launch via Atmosphere and the other for if you launch with hekate.

hello friends,

1. could you guide me to detail link/page for setup incognito and 90dns.

2. is it ok to have both in emuNand?

Thanks.

I hope this is the correct place ,looking for help on my first switch hack.

I have an unpatched switch on 10.2.0 firmware,i am following Modded Warfares tutorial but its over a year old, i prefer watching a video tutorial than reading.

1.I have inserted SD 256 GB card and it shows up in system. I have setup my DNS so it doesnt connect to Nintendo servers.

2.I have downloaded Tegra 2.6 , Atmosphere 0.15.0 master, fusee primary bin and Kosmos 16.1 (All these appear to be the latest files, correct me if im wrong)

3.In the video tutorial it states i need a patches.zip folder, and it send you to this forum,What patches.zip file do i need as it doesnt appear in the link?

Are these the correct files that i need to jailbreak my system? Most tutorials i see are from a while back and i understand many things have been updated since then.

Is there anything else i need to do before i start my jailbreak hack?

thank you.

What is a unpacked dump of a game? I need this to run BCML to install mods. But I have no clue if this is something I need to do myself with a cartridge or is it something that I can download like a XCI or NSP.
Thanks!

Don't follow an old tutorial like that, if you didn't do that much follow this guide. Yes, it's a text guide but bear with it, best one's are generally the text guides since they are updated frequently.

So konami released metal gear solid 2 pc with some minor updates... who is down to help me port it to switch? Id like to get as many mgs titles ported. My og screen name is SniperSnake.

Sounds like it contains whatever updates or firmware comes bundled with the game.

I've recently setup an emuNAND of my CFW sysNAND to restore my clean 4.1.0 backup to attempt online play, but after restoring the backup Hekate can't boot into with CFW sysNAND or OFW sysNAND. Whenever I try to boot I'm met with the error -
"Unknown pkg1 version.
HOS version not supported!"
I've completely reinstalled Hekate and Atmosphere with latest patches but still get the same error. Does anyone have any ideas?

Did you restore your boot 0/1 files as well?

I seem to be having a lot of trouble running any nsp converted from xci. I'm running AMS 0.14.4 on Horizon 10.1.0 with the fusee-primary sigpatches and most of my games work, but I'm seeing XCI converted games like Catherine Full Body and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne telling me corrupted data was found when I check for it in Horizon. Is there something that jumps out as being wrong with my setup conditioning on xci converted .nsp games being a problem?
