you can uneuip your current talisman, move all of them to an empty box page, export whole box, then import it into your old save. Then you can get in game and sell duplicated ones
Thank you so much! I did not think about that. Does it bring any glitches? As I understand it, the tab with cats is generally better not to touch)

make sure unequip the one you want to export, and remove decorations from all of them too (have deco in them should not be problem with MHXX 3DS, just in case it works different in MHGU)

Hi guys, I have a question : how can I modify a save on my hacked switch and use it on my brad new one ? I want to play MHGU online, but I can't because my switch is hacked. So I bought a new switch, but now the question is how I put the save on my new switch

I have given up on trying to convert my XX save file. Near a dozen attempts and it corrupts every time.

Does anyone have or know of a GU save file that is at the beggining of G rank. Thats exactly where I was at in XX. I had just started from my X 150 hour save.

I would take that save, pop my name and gear in using the save editor and be happy enough with that.

Hey all, this thread seems kinda dead but after looking online for help and coming up empty handed, I don't know where else to go but here. I've been able to convert my MHGU save to an MHXX 3DS save no problem with the converter, but I'm having trouble going the other way around. When I load the 3DS save into the editor and select convert to switch, it makes me place in a MHXX save (i assume an MHGU one works too) in order to convert back. When I select this, it states "switch save detected" and seems to be working (although it comes up with a loading popup that doesnt seem to go away, closing it doesnt seem to do anything?). When i hit save, it overwrites the switch save i used for converting (not the 3ds save) and I have to "save as" every time in order to not lose the switch system files. When I go back and use checkpoint to restore the system and system_backup files edited on the switch (making sure it is MHGU, the "converted" file i want to restore, and the correct user in the switch) it doesnt change my save. The save is left as it was originally on the switch after restoring, as if I never changed the save. I'm doing this since I want to edit event quests in MHXX ("custom quests") and then bring them over to the switch by transferring the save. That's obviously a different can of compatibility worms, but since I can't even convert the MHXX save through the save editor correctly, I feel like I'm missing something (and can't even get to that inevitable problem since I'm stuck on this). I've dug around online and found some mentions of a Hex Editor being used to transfer MHXX 3DS saves to MHGU, but I thought this save editor was supposed to be able to convert MHXX 3DS to MHGU saves (at least it can go from MHGU to MHXX 3DS easily). This leaves me pretty confused and I'm not sure what to do at this point.

TLDR: I want to convert a MHXX 3DS save along with its event quests to MHGU but whenever I convert the save in the MHGU save editor and then restore the "converted" saves to my switch, nothing happens. I basically can't seem to figure out how to go from MHXX 3DS to MHGU (while keeping the event quests from MHXX)

You cant keep the event quests. Capcom specifically programmed the game to not allow it.

Hello :) is there a way to complete all the quest with the save editor?
No, there isn't.

hello, i'm using this editor found on the first page of this thread, the thing is when i go to search for a specific weapon, it's missing, specially weapons of G-Rank monsters or ultimate version of the weapon, is it normal? is there an editor with all the weapons present?

the name was likely translated different in the editor IE Boltreaver vs Azurebolt.

Using the offical data transfer app, no (unless you are going from Generations --> Generations Ultimate, but then that'd be starting over :x)

The only way is to either have a hackable switch or have someone inject it for you but that someone must have a hackable switch, and he/ she needs your nintendo account so he can inject the save on his own switch, upload it on your nintendo account, then you download it on your own switch

But wouldnt that result in an immediate ban ? Because i have a hacked switch and a normal switch and was thinking of doing some charm editing for my gu save on my normal switch , sine my hacked switch is hacked via installing a chip into the machine i couldnt do the whole RCM thing and it seems like the method you said is the only way to do it, however, i have heard that if you have downloaded XCI format games in your virtual system and played it then if you connect to nintendo online then it would be an immediate ban. Is there any way around that i can port my normal save into my hacked virtual system ? Thanks for the reply

I found something interesting about mhxx on 3ds importing mhx save through the official ways. When mhxx imports mhx save, mhx weapon and armor data are adjusted according to mhxx data format without checking the legality of the data.
I guess if mhxx unique weapons and armor are written into the save file according to the mhx data format, will they become legit after being imported through official ways?
I tested it and it worked!
I wrote the Neset mail data to the mhx archive according to the mhx format (don't view it in mhx, it will cause a crash), I cleared the mhxx save data, imported the mhx save in the game, and a Neset mail appeared in my new character's equipment box.
All of the above was done under 3ds. untested on SWITCH, I guess mhgu Save Data Transfer is the same.

Can anyone explain this? I've had two friends go through a predicament where they both have had their saves corrupted in MHGU. They were both HR 12 and could see their characters on the select screen. However, when they tried to select that character, the game would crash.

Upon opening the saves in this editor, I'm repeatedly given these two messages:

Any idea on what this might be about? It happens with the system and system_backup file.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine
