What's the size of your patched .pack file? You can find the stuck theme in sd:/wiiu/themes. Let me know so I can fix it in the next version.
I didn't pay attention to the file size, but i could find and delete the theme on wiiu/themes, wich brought me back to the default Wii U menu. No harm done.

I have the same question....
Since it uses the StyleMiiU plugin no, it cant. You may download an incompatible theme and find yourself in a boot loop, but you'll be able to revert it by deleting the bad theme on sd:\wiiu\themes.

Speaking from experience here.

I have now the surprisingly beautiful peaceful koi theme, and it rules

Haven't turned on my wiiu in ages. Trying to download a theme and it's just stuck on spinning wheel. Also I have a blue matrix theme already applied don't know from where or what app

I used UTheme and now my wii u is stuck infinitely loading and i uninstalled UTheme and the themes from UTheme as well as my plugin config folder but its still not loading i think this app couldve caused a brick but there wasnt any warnings that it could brick your system i only have my otp, seeprom and and slc backed up how can i go about fixing this (i also have isfshax installed)

Edit: its not a brick i was able to boot into tiramisu idk what the issue is though whenever i try to boot to aroma (fastboot through isfshax) its not loading, and this is only after using UTheme to try and download themes it could be a completely unrelated issue but i assumed it was UTheme Since it happend immediately after i booted UTheme and Installed themes via the app

I saw you writing on reddit, reading you, it looks like either you Aroma install corrupted somehow or you went wrong with the countermeasures.

This software *can't* brick your Wii U by virtue of not installing anything on it, both UTheme itself as well as the downloaded themes are located in the sd card, and the themes are loaded through the StyleMiiU plugin wich is based on SDCafiine, wich is equally inoffensive.

How do I put a theme on, because when I get a theme, it does nothing
You need the StyleMiiU plugin, open the Aroma plugin menu, go to StyleMiiU on the list and enable the theme from the Available Themes submenu.

Thanks

This app looks great, but whenever I download a theme it doesn't appear on StyleMii. Rebooted my system too and still nothing.

Package them into a ZIP file, then rename the file to [theme name ].utheme and place it in the wiiu/themes/ folder of the SD card.

Then, open "Manage Themes" in UTheme and click "X" to install the local theme. Select your theme and install it.

Thanks, but would be nice if this could be added to the OP. Also, I need some help with this.

After some trial and error, I can now get Uthemes to recognize the .utheme packages, but whenever I try to install one, the file extraction gets to 20%, hangs for a bit, then jumps to 60%, immediately followed with an "install failed".

I know that with the old method, we had to patch our original menu files with the theme files we downloaded and these patched files are the ones I am trying to install. Is this wrong or is there something else going on here?

EDIT: Took a look at the log files and Utheme was complaining about the lack of .bps files, which explains it. You make the theme package with the patch files, not the patched menu files. It works now:)

Okay so i tried installing a theme but nothing happened. Then I restarted my console and now it won’t load anything even after deleting everything related to utheme……..

Every time I try to browse themes, I get a network error, even though I am clearly connected to the internet. I have deleted and reinstalled stylemii already
