It displays it in a wonky stretch fashion on my CRT
A vertical stretch? It can happen if you switch to 240p when aspect ratio index is set to 'custom' and the values set are not automatically decreased to safer limits, but it really isn't necessary to do because enabling integer scale and selecting 'custom ratio' will immediately fix it, or by using a different ar index.

You could also try enabling 'auto-switch res', it should automatically set everything for you. It's intended for games that switch resolution in-game, but it can be applied in this case.

I Honestly don't know how Retroarch is relevant, It's awesome on pretty much ANY other system but it's just plain awful on Wii imo. Personally, I only use it when I have to if there's no other EMU's to use.

RA-HEXAECO has outstanding gun (zapper) support for Nintendo and all Sega. SNES-Next does not support lightgun, not sure about others SNES cores. I too prefer RA over any/all GX emulators and the great thing is, we all have the choice to choose to our individual taste.:D

I believe I have gave WiiMednafen over credibility. It does not have Gun support for Genesis/Mega Drive games. It does for NES (+ Compatibility and pixel accuracy is far better than FCEUltra GX) so I'll stick with that. Just wondering from anyone's testings is GenPlus GX better than WiiMednafen regarding to Pixel Accuracy + Compatibility for the Genesis? I'd stick with it, the main reason leading me towards GenPlus is for the range of controller support.

WiiMednafen Genesis compatibility seems like it got a minor boost in playability with the latest 0.3. Thunder Force IV and other "heavy" games don't have noticable slow down anymore. Virtua Racing is the only game not working from my testing. GX and RA GX core both play everything I've thrown at it, including hacks, translations, homebrew. WiiMednafen is a nice alterative but imo RA and GX are superior.

Really?:blink: Weird, they're totally unrelated.
I think you may have accidentally deleted Rhapsodii Shima.ini from wiiflow/themes_lite.
Well, the easiest thing to do to fix it is to reinstall the theme
I just updated to your new plugins etc and feels good! Very nice structure with everything. I made the pluginpaths to match My previous ones. The thing is that after the changes, wiiflow wont load anything, covers etc. Its just chewing forever. What causes this and how do I fix this? I have cleaned caches and even deleted the wiiflow save.

Can you be more specific here? What exactly did you change, and was there a particular reason to do it?
It's definitely possible, but there are multiple things to change if you want to use another structure.
However, I think the easiest route consists in following the existing folder structure.
For the covers, did you try to remove all .wfc files from 'wiiflow/boxcovers/cache/your dir' and then reload cache in Wiiflow?

For the covers, did you try to remove all .wfc files from 'wiiflow/boxcovers/cache/your dir' and then reload cache in Wiiflow?
For example; I did change the paths on the wiimednafen like this:

[PLUGIN]
arguments={device}:/{path}/|{name}|{loader}
bannersound=Atari Lynx/atari lynx.ogg
consolecoverid=atari
covercolor=000000
coverfolder=wiimednafen/Lynx
displayname=Atari Lynx (WiiMednafen)
dolfile=wiimednafen-mod4.dol
filetypes=.lnx|.zip|.7z
magic=4d45449e
romdir=wiimednafen/roms/Lynx/wiiflow roms
rompartition=-1

The Magicnumbers and everythingelse is all the same. I did not try to remove .wfc tho, will try it right now :)

Let me know if the romdirs that I have changes like that is OK or if I have to do it another ways.

@Ripster the paths are ok, as long as they exist on your sd
Remember when you check the sd that the coverfolder path is relative to wiiflow/boxcovers.
Rompath is absolute
Dol path(if u ever need to change it) is relative to wiiflow/plugins

wait, SD? These changes are only made on my USB Hardrive. (normally I have a SD with the same settings/backup aswell, but I haven't configure it on that one yet) the SD card have the old plugins. So for now I'm only usening the USB Hardrive on my Wii.

just to make sure - you do not have the sd card inserted in your wii when you have usb hdd connected?

so is it "chewing" on startup? or after you select a source?

It only does when I'm chosing what emulator to play, NES for example. I've been stuck on "WiiFlow loads" for 20 mins now. It starts chewing when it comes to loading boxcovers (since I did redo the whole thing) The rest are loading fine, source menu etc.

I tried with Intellivision/JzintvWii this time that I haven't changed the rompath on (only added an extra folder for my wiiflow roms that should not be a problem) and it still chewing on that one too. This is strange, is there something wrong with my Wiiflow? Before I updated I had similar issue with loading covers. I remember that it could take almost 30 mins to just load up the screen for Game Boy Advance covers.

[PLUGIN]
arguments={device}:/{path}/{name}
bannersound=intellivision/Intellivision.ogg
consolecoverid=intellivision
covercolor=ffffff
coverfolder=jzintvWii
displayname=Intellivision (JzintvWii)
dolfile=Intellivision/jzintvwii.dol
filetypes=.int|.bin
magic=4A5A494E
romdir=jzintvWii/roms/wiiflow roms
rompartition=-1

Thank you guys for trying to solve this :bow:

its in the wiiflow lite thread - https://gbatemp.net/threads/wiiflow-lite.422685/page-162#post-9206847
keep 5.4.6 and just replace the boot.dol with 5.4.7 beta version.

for anyone using tetsuo's plugin pack you need v5.4.7 beta or higher because he has more than 128 plugins in his pack and 5.4.6 and below can only handle 128 or less. 5.4.7 allows up to 254 plugins.

this may fix your problem.
