Hi, so I haven't been around since 6.2.0 FW was newly released.

I was planning to do the "risky" method of updating my Switch to 10.2.0 (basically do an official update, then stick in a jig and hold Vol+ right before it reboots).

But I read somewhere 9.0.0 introduced a new GC update, that "burns" a GC fuse.
So I have some questions (mostly for @Draxzelex who knows everything I am talking about, and I think still keeps up with everything Switch-modding-related).

- I read on the Hekate release page that "NOGC" is disabled on stock. If I enabled NOGC (to preserve my "GC fuse"), is that a known ban risk?
- Would I even need to enable it? If I boot into stock (to play online on Sysnand on OFW), will it "burn my GC fuse" if I didn't insert a cartridge?

Also, am I correct to assume that the following are all still considered low-risk (i.e. no real evidence that people have been banned just for that)
- AutoRCM enabled
- fuse count mismatch (preserved fuses, check bypassed by booting stock/OFW in Hekate)
- and playing on EmuNAND (I'm using SX OS) on the same SD card as OFW SysNAND

---

EDIT: After a bit more searching, it seems you can't even enable NOGC on stock anymore without hanging

Not sure if this is still the case on 10.2.0... so I have no choice but to burn my "GC fuses" if I wanna play online on stock?

So there is a cheat code for Xenoverse 2 for unlimited tp medals that I would be interested in using, would that get me banned? I would probably just launch the game not connected to WiFi and activate the cheat then exit out of cfw and continue playing normally. What does anyone else think?

Couldnt we create a sub server for the modded Nintendo Switch so the peeps who download the NSP and play those can play together?

Like having our own Server for the games, and when we switch back you are back on Nintendo servers
That's what Switch LAN play and Xlink Kai do although they are for anyone with a Switch, not just hacked or banned units.

If it hasn't been fixed yet, then it'll remain a bug.

As stated in the OP, there is always a risk of getting banned when you go online with a hacked console. Using cheats is considered to be higher on the unofficial list of risks.

Ok so how should I update my sysnand? And still keep my emuMMC tho. And do I have to pay to go online? Or you mean just open the eShop?

I don't know about what kind of CFW are you using? I believe that @Draxzelex can answer those question. Yes, just open eShop app to find out and no need to pay.

If you didn't install NSP on official NAND so you should be safe - not banned and Atmosphere has protection against telemetry and error reports from send to Nintendo. Do everything with emuMMC is safe as long as you don't go online.
Awww dam I have installed nsp onto my sysnand. Dam I didn’t think about that when I did. Guess I’m f’d. I do have a clean backup tho.....

Finally, you can restore it.

Don't forget to back all saves up before you do restore.
Ok I’m almost ready to do this. Where are my saves to backup located? And will this restore delete all the games on my emuMMC or I’ll have reinstall them again? Cuz obviously when I did the backup of my sysnand that I’m going to restore too I barely had any games on my switch. Now I have dozens.

Use Checkpoint or JKSM for any games but Animal Crossing New Horizons - JKSM only.

Guys, I have a question. I have a dirty emuMMC but a clean sysnand. Well, at least I think it is clean, the only thing I used on it was a save manager homebrew, but it was offline. In anycase, I have a clean backup. I want to use the sysnand to play online, but I use autoRCM and I don't want to disable it. The question is: is there a way to boot OFW with autoRCM on? If no, is it safe to use sysnand CFW?

It is safe right now but eventually, Nintendo may have tool to detect whichever Switch is in autoRCM so you have to disable autoRCM before system update is available and you don't want Nintendo to know.
