Damn, didnt even know. Which groups got busted?

Sparks, Rovers and a bunch of their affiliates.... it's all such a small clique that everyone's affected tbh

It's happened before and it will happen again, but there will always be someone to take their place when they feel safe again

What do you (or m4xw) mean with "injects" are dead?
I'm not entirely sure myself. Here's the quote
some people look like they're gearing up to press on anyway though.

Please be civil to each other and discuss this in private. Even though I don't condone xenophobia, racism or anything of that kind. I don't see any reason to discuss this here in this thread, as well as Gyarados themes... The thread should focus on emulation and the super mario allstars collection.

Absolutely but they already knew that and they are doing it anyway because they love drama. SMH.

The fuck is deko3d? If it's a Nintendo standard, shouldn't it be named after Deku?
Its an API made specifically for the Switch by mostly RE-ing the NVN API made by Nvidia. It is much better than OpenGL performance wise, but unfortunately it lacks a dynamic shader compiler which means dont expect it to show up in an emulator until they add one.

So wait... if i have read everything correctly GC injection is ded? So i guess that means that there is no hope for Wii injection.

We have a discord open now, anyone can join. Might be a good point to post it on the dolphin forums though.
Hey can i snag a invite?

didn't mean to double post my bad

Wii injection probably won't be possible because the Wii emulator is only running the audio and graphics. Actually code was recompiled for the Switch's CPU (since that's ARM and the Wii and GameCube were PowerPC).

I also don't think these are your standard simple emulators. The controls are customized for each title rather than uniform control mapping. Y and X are punch and kick in SM64, the dives in Sunshine, plus they had to change the controls to bypass the analog shoulder button controls for FLUDD, and Galaxy has the spin as X and Y, and shaking the joycon, with R being necessary to activate the gyro to aim the pointer. I think the actually emulator might need to he reverse engineered before N64 and GC games can be injected. I'd guess Wii injection won't be possible. If you want to play Wii games booting into Linux or Android via CFW is probably the best bet.

If the Wii emulator can be reverse engineered it might be possible, but you would need it to be able to boot Wii ISOs.

If injection is out of the question, would it maybe be possible to use the Vulkan from All Stars/Hagi and bring better Dolphin compatibility to Horizon? Could be more to it than that, but I know there's been limitations, even in Android and Lakka

Doubtful. That would involve trying to use code for an emulator that Nintendo used, and emu devs aren't even legally allowed to look at that source code is my understanding. And who's to say that it'd even be compatible to begin with?

Dolphin itself is just not realistic to expect on Horizon, especially when the devs are busy with supporting N64, PSP, and DC emulation. Even when I tried the latest version of Dolphin on the Nvidia SHIELD for the brief period of time I had one, the games I tried to run on it either ran really slow, or the compatibility just wasn't there for anything that wasn't WarioWare.

Dolphin IS possible.
It running through Lakka on the Switch with good performance is proof of that.
What's needed for it to make it into HOS at least decently is a port of Vulkan for Switch homebrew, or better yet, NVIDIA's own nvdec, as with plain OpenGL, Dolphin can't make much performance gain from the hardware.

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of giving up the ability to dock the Switch (you know, the whole point of it being a hybrid console?) to be able to play GC games and maybe some others on the go, and other weirdness that hasn't had any progress made on it that's been shared with everyone in the community here.
