This is the best thing that could happen to us!! Native emulators for N64, GC and Wii!!! I’m really loving this
They are not native. But if the best emulators for the Horizon system

I was crazy looking for the roms to do the test, I ended up choosing to download Super Mario 3D All Star and extracting the .xci to get the .gcm file containing the Super Mario Sunshine iso

It worked without any problems when I opened it in Dolphin

the cutscenes have a black screen because the videos are in a separate folder that the Nintendo emulator uses to load (only the audio and subtitles are left)

So, I decided to try Nintendont on my Wii U to see if it would work the same way.

I was really curious, the layout of the Game Cube buttons are not so good on the GamePad, with the button layout of the Switch it would be perfect on the Wii U, I also wondered if it would work with Widescreen.

But to my surprise when I tried to load the game :

Was as you can see in the image, but not only that, the game was running considerably slow.

I tried to change some settings in Nintendont but the result was always the same and only this game ran like that.

Well, who was curious if the Super Mario 3D All Star .iso containing Super Mario Sunshine would work on the Wii U Nintendont, this is the result.

That's because the WiiU you're using is most likely NTSC-U, and the Sunshine GCM in the All-Stars collection is the PAL one, hence the weird gra@hics.
It loads fine on Dolphin because it doesn't care about Hertz signals.

Try patching it for NTSC-U, or I don't recall if Nintendont has an option to force PAL into 60Hz/NTSC or something.
Try holding B when you boot up the game, as I think was discussed in this thread (or maybe the other one) holding B tells the game to switch to 60Hz mode.

I quote RetroGamer because he speaks Spanish and if someone wants to understand what I said to him like I do translating all the time, he does a better good than complaining.

"Mario64 ROM is Japanese original. It is patched in memory. The emulator would be to boot this ROM.

Mario Sunshine ROM is emulator directly. I would boot other roms by setting the correct hash.

The Mario Galaxy ROM is the one used for Nvidia Shield"

"For those who ask about the controls. Configuration file for remapping on emulator, keyboard, sdlPad, etc."

Please be civil to each other and discuss this in private. Even though I don't condone xenophobia, racism or anything of that kind. I don't see any reason to discuss this here in this thread, as well as Gyarados themes... The thread should focus on emulation and the super mario allstars collection.

That's right, racism is huge on that side of the world. But I'm not going to pretend to be one of them to please them. And I quote RetroGamer because he speaks Spanish and if someone wants to understand what I said to him like I do translating all the time, he does a better good than complaining.

edit: nice update from retrogamer!
Could this mean we will edit the Super Mario 64 rom with the "original controls" and 16:9 aspect ratio or would that be just a pipe dream?

It's info I've seen on the Darksoftware website.

Do have any idea if thats true or not?

I don't think so. Hashes are not the issue at all. I've been actively watching a discord full of people figuring it out.

It depends on the emulator that Nintendo uses on the Switch. If in your options it allows such aspect ratio. Or in extreme cases, incorporate it when you can better understand the emulator. But the controls, I think it is customizable. Perhaps later this emulator will be incorporated as a kind of nucleus for some Loader as it was Nintendont, and control configurations for the classic controllers will be added (Although in Nintendont they managed to make compatible the Wii controls and their peripherals).
