Thanks for reading!

Brand new to this. I followed the stickied guide titled "SD2VITA/PSVSD Configuration Guide".

I followed the directions for "To Use SD2VITA for Vita Games" since I didn't actually copy over a uma0 folder (it didn't exist on my Vita). But honestly, I really just want to use this for storage of backups (Vita, PSP, and PS1). Not sure if I did it right...

Anyways, I followed everything except for this step: "1. Copy the contents of your ux0: backup folder to the SD card using your card reader. Install the SD in the SD2Vita or PSVSD." As far as I could tell, my card reader (Win32DiskImager) was incapable of copying my ux0 folder, since it isn't a disk image. So I just copied and pasted my ux0 folder (which I had duplicated onto my desktop) onto the blank SD card.

Anyways, now when I start up, VitaShell, Adrenaline, AutoPlugin I and II, etc. have all disappeared. The 256 GB card is recognized, though, because when I look for it in System Settings for Storage, it says it's there.

Now, I read somewhere that I can hold "L" during startup, which does work, and it brings all of those programs (VitaShell etc.) back...however, then I cannot access my 256 GB card. I double checked VitaShell, and I don't have anything close to 200+ GB there.

My ur0:tai/storage_config.txt is:

MCD=uma0
GCD=ux0
UMA=grw0

Please help if you can, and thanks so much for your generous support ^_^

Wrong impression fix first. Ux0 Ur0 are disk drive, not folder, you are messing with drive inside your vita, please be more careful.
Now your problem, most likely because you did not completely copy the file. To fix that without too much problem, we will do a direct copy.
1.Change storage_config.txt to:
MCD=ux0
GCD=uma0
After reboot, your sd2vita will become uma0, sony card become ux0. This time use vitashell, go inside ux0, copy ALL from ux0 to uma0.
2.Change storage_config.txt to:
MCD=uma0
GCD=ux0
After reboot, go inside vitashell and check ux0 size to be sure sd2vita is working.
Just in case, dont write stuff you dont know inside the config, okay?

Thanks for the advice! You're right...I got impatient after 6 hours of configuring, and I don't think I respected the fragility of everything. Too used to everything working no matter what I do XD But yea, I don't want to brick it...

Anyways, in that vein, a question about your directions before I mess with everything:

1) I altered storage_config.txt to your specifications, but I cannot complete step 1 because I don't have a uma0 folder. I noticed that if I press triangle within VitaShell, I can mount uma0. Should...I do that?

Thanks again for your help and your advice!

Bumb :)

I don't want to make any important decisions without some feedback. Should I mount uma0 within VitaShell so that I can follow ZeroSene's instructions?

Update: I restored taiHENconfig, which gave me a uma0 folder.

I went inside it, and found a ux0 folder already in there. Copied my original ux0 folder over to uma0, deleted the ux0 folder in there, and then set taiconfig.txt to
MCD=uma0
GCD=ux0

ux0 folder is now 235 GB in Vitashell!! Hopefully everything else still works lol.
