I am aware of a thread already regarding removing users from a Wii U but it doesn’t start off basic enough for me

I believe I need to download FileZilla to access the files but I don’t quite understand the steps to get to this. Is it as simple as download FZ, connect via cable to my PC, open FZ and I can access the files? Or do I need to do something else? I don’t want to hack the console, I just want to remove the user.

Thanks in advance for simplifying this for me

You need to run FTPiiU Everywhere on the Wii U. That could work without CFW (homebrew access via browser exploit) but to access files on the NAND you need a CFW. So without hacking you can't do what you want to do. Anyway, hacking is simple: Just try it and as soon as you have Mocha running you're able to run FTPiiU Everywhere with full NAND access.

//EDIT: To make this clear: You don't need Haxchi or CBHC, so no need to purchase a DS VC title. Mocha is a CFW, too, and as soon as you have a CFW running your plan will work.

//EDIT²: You can't tamper with the system (side-remove a user) without tampering with the system (running a (temporary) CFW) first. ;)

Erm...this baffled me. The only thing I took away from this was that I couldn’t achieve what I wanted without a hack. I don’t want you to have to take the time to break this down for me but I have no idea what most of this means. I’m really sorry!

Well, that's your problem but yea: No hack, no service...

Then again: The hack is plain stupid. Take 15 minutes of your time and you have it!

I’m really not trying to be difficult, completely the opposite. I am looking for help. What do you mean the hack is stupid and take 15mins of my time? 15mins doing what? I’m really confused :(

It's plain stupid as in simple as f**k. 15 Minutes of reading the hacking guide and hacking your console. You're wasting more time here asking for a way to do it without CFW than to (temporarly) install a CFW...

Its kinda simple really.

1. Put homebrew channel on your sd card
2. Put mocha on your sd card
3. Put FTPiiU on your sd card.

All three go in /wiiu/apps/ on the sd card.

Put sd card in the WiiU.

4. Start your wiiu and select Internet browser
5. Go to http://wiiuexploit.xyz/
6. Click on Run Homebrew Launcher!. Your console should launch the Homebrew Launcher.
7. Now Select Mocha
8. It will take you back to the Homebrew Launcher and enable CFW.
9. Select FTPiiU Everywhere

Jesus man! I’m fine if you just tell me that the hacking guide should help me but no need to act like an a-hole! Come and talk to me about matters that I’m an expert in and I’ll start throwing 3 letter acronyms at you and see how you like it. I was hoping this forum would be kind hearted to complete novices but I just get abuse when you could’ve spent 2 mins considering your audience and helping out. I don’t even know what CFW means but don’t worry, I’ll f**king go elsewhere and you sit it you Ivory f**king tower and treat people like s**t rather than helping. I hope I’ve made you feel big and mighty today chum!

I think he means "stupid simple".
I think he means "stupid simple".
“No knowledge” of any of this, but if you want to say stupid then crack on

CFW = Custom FirmWare... A second of googling would have helped you.... And yea, all I wanted to tell you is that you have to follow that guide (not even fully, just around 50%) to get Mocha running and follow your plan... Do whatever you want with that informations...

BTW: "I think he means stupid simple" was never directed to you as an insult. What @The Real Jdbye and me wanted to say is: The guide is simple to follow... It's f**cking simple to follow... Did you ever look at it?

"stupid simple" is a saying, it means something is very easy.

No I didn’t look at it because as my initial post stated, I didn’t want to hack the console if I didn’t have to.

If that is all you wanted to say then why not say it. FTPiiu, CFW and NAND are completely different languages to me the same as if I said to you to get someone to fill in an ADLQ to check their R&Ls and whether they have a PX and DX. This is language I use in my job but in zero context like I felt your comments were. I appreciate you were trying to help but I was clear from the beginning that I had NO clue.

Thank you for clarifying I need to hack, I’ll read the guide and see how I get on

And as told in my very first reply: You have to!

I wanted you to get you in touch with that terms as you can't do anything without... Yea, hate me for it!

the same as if I said to you to get someone to fill in an ADLQ to check their R&Ls and whether they have a PX and DX.
Am able to google every term you tell in 2 seconds so... What's your point? I'm not throwing in terms google doesn't know.

This is language I use in my job but in zero context like I felt your comments were. I appreciate you were trying to help but I was clear from the beginning that I had NO clue.
Okay, so let me start from the beginning: Around 8 years ago there was a guy called Dimok... No, seriously: We can't tell you everything, you need to spend some times to learn the basics...

Thank you for clarifying I need to hack, I’ll read the guide and see how I get on
Thanks. :)

Hi guys. I understand a huge amount more now and the above stuff makes more sense. I’m at the point of trying to connect to my Wii U via WinSCP on my PC, it connects but then it fails at the end. Any idea? Do I keep trying? Is there any way to drop out of the process after the failure to try again? I just keep doing a hard reset on my console. Thanks in advance.

Hey. So I got into the directory list this time around and the issue I am having is that when I access storage_mlc where I believe the user files are, it gives me an error on my PC saying it ‘could not retrieve directory listing. Closing data connection’ this is what I was getting initially when trying to get into the directory at all. Should I just be waiting for the files to appear?

How do I safely close the connection from FTPiiU?

Okay... So either you're using a FTP client incompatible with FTPiiU Everywhere or you're using the wrong fork of FTPiiU Everywhere... Or there's something wrong with FTPiiU Everywhere + the guide you're following but that's unlikely...

What FTP client are you using?
What FTPiiU Everywhere are you using (post a link from where you got it from) ?

Sorry again in advance if I give you the wrong info. I used Mocha and FTPiiU Everywhere I downloaded from the Homebrew App Store. I am using WinSCP on my PC to try and access the files
