This small soldering project caused me to loose on of the caps that the SX Core is supposed to attach to. The Switch works fine without it. Do I need to solder the chip to the cap or can I use the solder points left? Where would I even find a cap? Is there anyone that has the capability of adding a SMD cap? I was told these caps just control electrical noise.

Stop ! Hammer time.
For real man, don't touch anything else and send it to a pro to install it

I don't know much about the SX Core/SX Lite install other than what I've seen in pictures, but from what I've gathered, as part of the install you bridge the 2 sides of the cap. Right?
If it's supposed to be bridged, then it's completely bypassed anyway and serves no purpose.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

But some pictures would be nice anyway so we can make sure the rest of it looks good.

Bridge one side of the qsb pad to left side of the cap and so on.

Some people bridge everyting or remove caps, or remove the pads on the cpu.

They are not supposed to be bridged by solder or removed. Otherwise the install would be much easier!

"Test units recieved" thread has links to new capacitors in there somewhere. Someone with more knowledge can follow up to tell you how important they are. Good luck
