I think @Phillipos could have worded this with more tact and politeness. As a feature request, would it be possible to have DaedalusX64 launch in 4:3 as the default aspect ratio? Like a user changeable setting in the preferences.ini? There were some in there like ViewportType, TVEnable, and TVType, but I'm not sure which or any of these control resolution or aspect ratio.
It will save the preferences.

I tested,

Extreme G2:

goes at 13 frames per second with a maximum of 16 frames per second at the screen wheel menu.

Motorcycles in the menu goes at 9 fps.

When racing at the tracks the games goes at 11 frames per second.

it is fine progress.
-------
Super Mario 64:

Mario's head goes at 6 frames per second.

profiles board 19 frames per second.

playing goes at 11 frames per second.

stack dumps everywhere.

F-Zero:

Start screen saids 36 but I does not seems like all those frames per second.

also select mode

select course 19fps

select machine 13 fps

blue falco 28 fps

racing at the track 14fps

Disney Dacing museum does not run, outputs an error dump or something
I will try more games.

star war racer episode 1 does not run

smash brothers runs at 16 frames per second.

paper mario goes at 19 frames per second at the start screen.

in games like 10 frames per second.

This are Old 3DS plus 3D off reports and not playable.

These emulator's team is pulling out some great efforts.

Not to be rude but I wish people would stop posting o3DS results. It’s always going to run like shit

I knew this was possible. I ignored the doubters. I feel like it would be a stretch to get it working perfectly for the o3ds systems however.
Tbh, it's still pretty unlikely that we're able to get it running stuff outside of SM64 perfectly, considering that SM64 was actually 32-bit

I would like to see it working perfectly in the Old 3DS(I have the small Aquablue..)
There would have to be horrendous amounts of optimizations and probably 1000s of hours to put into something that really isnt needed. There is the new console and its there for a reason. It plays games better, as such homebrew can take advantage of the better specs. The console isnt really much more to purchase one.

Thread has become the 5th most viewed in Nintendo 3DS Discussions after only 3 months, that was quick

It's kinda weird to think that not long ago we thought N64 emulation on the 3DS was impossible, and now here we are trying to beat the Wario CPU with dignity at 25 frames per second

Anyway I did say I was gonna try out some more N64 games and I never did so I'll go ahead and actually try out some more N64 games now

Also, thank god Aspect Ratio is now an option in Options

BTW Feizz announced that from now on the dev builds will be private (probably because some people just aren't behaving normally and insulting him). It will only be shared to select people and i suppose that only the not-in-dev builds will be public. And please stop calling the latest dev release 0.3. Also why do people care about the original 3ds so much, like ok i understand that it is a great console but if you want fast homebrew you need to get the new console (tbh 99 dollars for a new 2ds xl is a very good deal so please).

(please correct me if i am wrong)

What sort of asshat do you have to be to insult Feizz? The guy busts his ass creating amazing software that makes all of our lives better and he does it for free. What the hell is wrong with people? And sorry, but if you have an O3DS, sell it and buy a New 2DS XL.

yeah but not everyone has a new 3ds, so if you only have an old 3ds and you want to use the emulator you can just check if it will run well
Ok but it isn’t meant to or going to run on o3DS. Stop updating the compatibility chart and posting garbage information. The same game’s run but much worse
