Hi all,

I was wondering what hardware is required to be connected to the Switch motherboard for it to boot? Other than the obvious such as the eMMC. The goal of my project is to make a super cheap secondary switch which will only be used in console mode, so ideally the only thing I'd want connected is the motherboard, the dock and perhaps the game card slot.

rajkosto on Discord let me know that the Switch drivers do lock up during the logo if some device fails to respond on i2c or similar. They apparently don't timeout, and hang forever.

I know it can be ran without the pcb which has the cart reader and touchscreen controller. What other hardware is needed to be plugged in for it to boot? Is it possible to create patches in CFW to disable these checks?

Thanks

I think you need pretty much everything besides the case/screen, card reader, speakers, probably doesn't need that fan either.

Don't really see the point of using one without the screen though even if the screen was broken.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
