Update v1.4 released
Going to give this a spin tonight, i'll keep you posted on results. Still at the beginning of game but will see how it improves through playthrough I put over 150+ hrs on the new 3DS so to me this is lovely anyway but it'll be nice to have even further improvements.

Also any reason why the GPU isn't bumped any higher than 460, for example wouldn't bumping it up higher to 537 be better or is there a reason the OC settings aren't higher such as heat or battery life?

GPU is locked at 460 MHz without official charger even if you try to set it higher, it won't happen. Using the official charger allows you to go past 460 MHz.

Its that ok if I turn them on, what kind of effect will cause? any performance cost?

As we know so far, turning them off or on doesn't have any effect. You're free to experiment of course.

Lmao, I tested 30 minutes in portable and 30 minutes in dock mode in Vilia's Lagoon and Mekron zone in Bionis Leg (is where I have more drops) with storms and I played with 30 solid FPS all the time.

I'll wait to see if anyone has the same problems

As far as I've been testing, blur is near blur, blur 2 is far blur and furblur is blur when making quick movements (like moving Monado)
I'm in Satorl Marsh using your overclock settings and 1.4 config in handheld mode; I'm getting some slowdown as well.

Yeah, in my opinion, most changes that he made aren't big enough to make it noticeable without specifically looking at a certain subject. I was wondering how he made these decisions on the fly so quickly, this would've taken about a week for me. Not trying to be rude here, just being sceptical.
If you don't mind, could you add comments for your findings on the effects of specific values you have changed? Some of those settings I've noticed no difference in my personal (but very sloppy) testing, would like to know what you've figured out.
Also, if you're trying to enhance shadows, shadowhalf=off increases the resolution of the shadows.

Nah, it's normal to be sceptical with these changes if I don't put comparisons o anything.
To get a little in context, I've about 6 years of experience using SweetFX/Reshade in computer games, so I've studied these settings well and have used values that I usually use in Reshade. In addition to this, I also do many captures of many situations and compare them in Imgsli, so when I am satisfied with the result, I leave the adjusted values. It's true that most of these values, like DoF or Godrays for example, show very few differences and I wouldn't add them, but personally when handling these adjustments and making such precise comparisons I see the differences. Likewise, I'll also remove these effects in the next update to avoid possible performance problems in the progress of the game

Don't forget to enjoy the game at some point when you find a configuration that suits you.

It work with any charger, an official charger allow it to past 768 mhz and reach highest 921 mhz (also 2 highest GPU OC required official charger).

Update v1.5 released:
Updated config preset to v1.5:
- Slightly decreased resolution in portable modea dynamic resolution to avoid performance drops in certain loaded areas. Image quality has only decreased slightly.

- Disabled DoF to avoid performance problems in intermediate and advanced areas of the game.

Frame-rate test in handheld mode (quality of the video has been decreased, doesn't represent ingame quality): https://streamable.com/ag0b9r

Highly recomended my OC preset to avoid performance problems:

Description of some of the effects
- Tonemap is the effect that mostly controls the colormap, but in some situations it can also control lighting. In this case I prefer not to edit it since the original effect seems to me to be adjusted correctly.
- SSAO is an acronym for super-sampling ambient occlusion and mostly controls how shadows are applied in certain areas. In this case I preferred to edit it since the original setting was very weak and did not take advantage of the general quality of the game elements.
- Bloom is the effect that adds "cloudiness" to the lights, making elements that shine have more light and light areas have a more fantasy effect. In this case, I've increased the Gaussian effect, which is the one that applies blur to the lights so that they are softer and "saturation5" to add more color to the areas with bloom.
- Godray is the effect that controls sunlight or indoor lighting. I tested it and normally I edit it, but in a game that is easy to have performance drops I prefer to leave the original setting because it's an adjustment that normally spends a lot of resources.
- Antialiasing it is the effect that controls the saw teeth making them softer or even disappear. In this case I've used some already optimized values of my Reshade settings for old PC games or of poor image quality. Is tweaked to smooth as much as possible with very little impact on performance.
- DoF is the acronym for Depth of Field, this effect basically makes the image blur at some distance from the character. It's an effect that I really like to add to games because it gives a greater sense of image quality if it's optimized well, but it also consumes many resources and also in this config I haven't seen any option to edit it.
- Lensflare it's basically the power that the lights have to shine more. I don't normally use it because it creates a poorer quality effect and higher resource consumption than Bloom effect.
- SSR is the acronym for Screen Space Resolution, its effect causes us to see better quality reflections, especially in the water. It only works in dock mode, I've optimized it so that there is a bit more smoothness in the reflection of the water.
- Shadow is basically the effect of shadows in the game. Mostly the distance they come to occupy and the darkness they produce. I've increased the distance and the darkness a little to give a stronger sense of the sun's force on the elements and because I think that the original effect has too light shadows.
- Blur is the effect that adds smoothness to camera shake (blur2), distant elements (blur), or close elements (furblur). I've decreased and improved all three effects because originally they have a lot of strength and can cause dizziness when turning the camera and very noticeable traces in the movements of the elements, especially in jumps and combat.
- TMAA it's a type of antialiasing of the many that exist, I do not know exactly the acronym. I've adjusted its effect so that it dosn't produce as much sharpness as originally or as much blur as it does if it isn't adjusted correctly. It's individually regulated for dock mode and portable mode.

I hope these descriptions have helped you :grog:

Holy Christ, it looks so sharp. Any downside, like you are using the charger or something? I mean, it looks VERY good for handheld.

Some were taken while playing with a portable charger.
Just did a quick run after your post without charger, there is a small difference due to the fact I kept the DR on.
(PS: I tried taking pictures at the same place in Eryth Sea but lighting is realllyyyyyy different & it looks bad due to the game event.)
Only thing I would like to try is to reactivate the blur. Seems it is affecting a lot of aspects!

Sys-clk + Overlay
are both working fine and I can adjust the Clocks Speeds but when I press EDiZON in the Overlay menu everything all of the menus disappear.

Thinking maybe an SX OS problem?

Wait, the Overlay app works on SXOS? I thought there was an issue (memory related) that prevented it from working with SXOS.

Can anyone post a similar preset to the XC2 one?
No overclock, SX OS compatible. I'm mainly interested in removing the sharpening and cleaning up the image somewhat.

Doesn't even need to be a preset. Just tell me what to do, please. I'm not all that savvy. Thanks.
