@cpasjuste Hello friend, do you think you will be able to see in the versions of Pfbn 4.4 and Psnes 4.4 for PS Vita, the error of the game's art goes away, and no game works after that, you end up giving an error when starting the game, and you have to open it again the emulator, as soon as you have some time, if you can see it please, thanks in advance

@cpasjusteCould you arrange to play games vertically ?
The arcade stick is inverse to the movements, please.please ,, I like to play 1942,1943, pacman, galaxian, galaga,

you could in previous pfba version (before 4.1 of pfbn), right stick was rotated.
In newer releases it stays standard position and can't be assigned (only d-pad that doesn't reflect analog).
Please correct this cpasjuste, it was a nice feature playing shmups on a vertical ratio using the right analog.

TATE shmups selection with nice speed with og clock

Hi @cpasjuste I do not want to be annoying, but I quote my previous post in case you haven't seen it, the combo option for the menu would be appreciated for all of us who have a PSVita 100x, greetings!
Hi @cpasjuste, I am a pFBA user on Vita, which is my favorite way to play arcade games. I prefer it for its simple and pleasant menu, the video filters, and for its immediacy, something that Retroarch lacks. I think the version I still use is the old 1.52 and I remember I had to go back to that one because it was the last one that allowed me to modify the button combination to call the in-game menu. This triviality is important for those of us who have a PSVita 100x model, since the select and start buttons are ridiculously sunk into the case and pressing them at the same time is the feat of an octopus.

1) Could you consider incorporating in pFBN and pSNES the choice of the "menu combo" or at least an alternative option? (I use L + R which is very comfortable and quick)

2) Would it be possible to incorporate the choice, even if it is from the cfg file, to set any custom folder path for previews images, in the way that the paths for ROMs are chosen by user? This to take advantage of the images that Retroarch automatically finds and downloads and thus avoid duplicating the space occupied by copying them.

3) Given what some say that the FBN core has its advantages and disadvantages compared to the previously used FBA, is it possible to have both emus/apps installed simultaneously or does the new pFBN inevitably replace pFBA??

4) It would be nice if the pSNES bubble had a different icon than the pFBA.

I hope I'm not too pretentious. In advance I thank you very much for all the work dedicated to PSVita, I really enjoy pFBA and also your OpenBOR port. Hopefully someday you will bring a Sega Genesis emulator with this same simplicity and neatness. I hope at some point, when the quarantine ends and I get my job back I can "offer you a beer". Greetings from Argentina, take care.

I've been playing around with pFBN 4.4, pFBA 1.54, pFBA 1.57 and pFBA modded vita 1.15

Based on the game Armored Warriors, it feels that pFBA works better than pFBN in terms of FPS and sound! in pFBN, the sounds is broken per se.

Another things is on the saves. As i started with the modded vita 1.15, i realize that the saves cannot be used on 1.54 onwards. Anyone got tricks to convert the save?

Where can you download these earlier versions, can't find them anywhere?

Anyone know why I'm having problems with the pFBN versions? I have tried 4.1 and i just get grey squares on startup and the 4.4 version has a white screen. The older pFNA versions work fine

Yeah some roms have strange sound issues - Take street fighter mini pocket fighter - pressing X makes the rom volume go down and pressing l1 makes the volume go up.

Hello , Sorry for the extreme newbie question : If I download the FBA4.4 and run the .VPK will that overwrite my previous FBA 1.57 bubble of my vita TV or will it create a new one? I really want to keep my old PFBA bubble intact.

Edit: One more question, is there a way to add my own scanline shader or has someone else added other scan line shaders? I'm trying to get a nice looking scan line for neogeo games running 4:3 aspect ratio. The current scal line shader only looks like scanlines when running games at X2 resolution.

Thank you

Is there a more livelier forum or place where this emulator is being discussed - PBFA is absolutly my favorite way to game neogeo and CPS1 and CPS2 games.

Thanks

I had no luck with either pFBA or pFBN on vita. Anything I tried was slow as hell.

I use Retro Arch with mame2000 core and it plays all the old 80’s and 90’s arcade games fine, neo geo included. Just search for the 0.37b5 rom set to use and you’ll be fine.

I just got tired of the menu freaking out on me every time I tried to use it. It keeps scrolling down through the list of games, likely because my right thumbstick is busted and it tries to read it... no matter what I do to prevent that. I've changed the config file a dozen different ways to keep it from reading the right stick, to no avail. Since it won't cooperate, I should probably just delete it.

You should update the 360 to newest dash before RGHing it yes. But not a big deal if you don't, you can install new dash/avatar updates after. It's just easier to do it auto online before, instead manual offline after.

@BigOnYa I wanted to ask you about your experience with seeing south park. Most of the people a bit younger like my younger brother and cousins that are a few younger than me that saw kids found south park funny because of the curse words, kids at school, that seemed like liking the show on a very basic level.

I could not quite have a in depth discussion of the show.

How was it for you? As an adult. What did you find the most interesting part about it. Did you relate to the parents of the kids and their situations. Was it satires, the commentary on society. The references on celebrities' and pop culture.

I remember seeing the very first episode back in the day, and have watched every episode since. I used to set my VCR to record them even, shows how long ago.

I just like any comedies really, and cartoons have always been a favorite of mine. Family guy, American Dad, Futurama, Cleveland Show, Simpsons - I like them all.

South Park is great cause they always touch on relavent issues going on today, and make something funny out of it.

@BigOnYa were you always up to date on the current events and issues of the time or were there issues that you first found out thru south park
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Most of the time yea I knew, I watch and read the news regularly, but sometimes the Hollywood BS stuff, like concerning actors slip by me. I don't follow most Hollywood BS (example: the Kardasians)

  • S @ salazarcosplay:
@BigOnYa there were relevant issues before south park was made, that's why i think a south park prequel/spinoff would be great. Randy and his friends in their child hood

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, like them running in high school together, getting into stuff, and how they got hitched and had kids. And how the town of South Park was back then compared to now. That would be cool to see.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@salazarcosplay if they made a prequel, it would still be about current issues, cause it doesn't make sense to make it about stuff that happened 30 years ago that nobody cares about anymore
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's too late
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the older south park episodes about particular issues usually age poorly since the topic is no longer relevant

an exception is giant douche vs turd sandwich, that's always relevant :P
