Retro gaming is back and stronger than ever

While I played allot of games during the 32-/64-bit era... I felt somewhat that I'd gotten to old for video games, because they weren't as fun anymore.

That's what I liked about handhelds, they were a place were 2D survived. Despite that I totally missed out on the GBC, I just thought they should've released a color Gameboy a long time ago. But playing those games later on let's me know it's not all nostalgia and being a kid discovering some game concept for the first time and therefore being the greatest thing ever.

I think Warioland 2 is just a supreme take on platforming (3 is also very good, but not as good... They had a decline with every game released IMO). Also the Donkey Kong that came out (that was old GB, but I'd gotten rid of mine by that point). Absolutely stellar titles that are in my mind among the best games ever made.

I don't recall when I got around to playing them, but I was a jaded adult for sure.
