Images for the rumoured Zelda-themed limited edition Switch 2 for The Legend of Zelda's 40th Anniversary have started to leak online.

The leak shows only the cardboard box that holds the actual console, not the console itself, but it gives a good glimpse at what the console and its controller would look like. The console itself has Joycons with special green and golden colouring to them, with the right Joycon showing some green motifs, and the left Joycon having the classic Hylian symbol on its lower left corner. The Dock for the Switch 2 also showcases a special design, with a big Triforce showing on the front of it, as well as some motif designs around it to accompany the Triforce.

As for the controller, it follows a similar motif design to that seen on the Switch 2's Dock, with several Triforce designs on its front.
It's still unknown when exactly whe limited edition console will become available, but given how the console has already leaked, it's likely that the announcement will come in the upcoming days.

Hell, it sucks even compared to LCD Switch 1 models. I think the OLED model will barely move the needle on the abysmal battery life too. They might as well have just made it a home console and put in a little extra horsepower instead of a screen.

Well the appeal of the Switch is to be an hybrid console. If they launched a non portable one, then people would complain its was too "weak" compared to the competition.

My main problem with the current one is the price and the crappy LCD they used. Battery i cant really say because my experience with the console is very limited.

Most people can not get limited edition console at the normal price anymore. I know I will be one of them. I think I will buy the replacement back/JoyCon/pro controller/Dock shells. It will be way cheaper that way. That is only if a miracle does not happen and I see it in store.

So far nothing that makes me want to get the Switch 2. Where's our hacks? GG Nintendo. Hats off. But one day..

I know the screen on the Switch 2 has worse response times than the original.

Maybe I haven’t played games where that response time matters, but from a subjective perspective the size, resolution, better contrast, more vibrant colors all make it much better experience than the OG switch.
