About SX stopping a code 7, you positive that SX cannot use code 8 button presses ? I heard it was working, maybe was wrong

The takeaway point for me is maybe some codes 9 currently not working on SX can be rewritten with code 7 for compatibility, I'll look into that

ah, yes. sorry about that. codetype 8 was keypress check, so in my mind, i didnt include it, but yes codetype 8 does work as well. However, codetype 7 operations are limited as quoted from their manual:
Code:
0 = addition, 
1 = subtraction, 
2 = multiplication, 
3 = shift left,
4 = shift right

where as codetype 9 in atmosphere has more options
Code:
+ 0: Addition
+ 1: Subtraction
+ 2: Multiplication
+ 3: Left Shift
+ 4: Right Shift
------------------------
+ 5: Logical And
+ 6: Logical Or
+ 7: Logical Not (discards right-hand operand)
+ 8: Logical Xor
+ 9: None/Move (discards right-hand operand)
if the codetype 9 in sxos using the top 5 (0-4) then yes. However, if the codetype 9 is using the bottom 5 (5-9), then for sxos its not possible to rewrite it as a codetype 7

hp still does not work in retro mode.

Ive used it with no problem in retro mode. Are you talking about the retro filter or the secret stages?

Edit: Nevermind I see it now. You are right, it doesnt work in the secret stages. I can only assume that is because those stages store HP values in a different location most likely because you start in that area with full HP and you return to the previous location with the HP you had when you went in.

It doesnt seem to break the cheat when you return back which is a good thing. I think it might require a separate cheat which I can look into. I was trying to find a weapon cheat first so accessing the stages would be easier, but that is looking a bit more complicated.

Yeah that's true. I recently upgrade the version so the old cheat doesn't work anymore. Thanks for the help man

@Lionheartwolf and @patjenova are you guys still using jnoexes? Since I updated atmosphere and fw to 10.0.2, jnoexes crashes when I try to attach a game. Just says it stopped working correctly on windows and I have to close it. It's doing it for the 3 games I've tried since updating (Naruto storm 4, indivisible, and one step from eden)

Im still using it, in fact I used it for Indivisible so I know it works with that, but I have not updated Atmosphere in awhile, so I don't know if that might be your issue. Have you checked your hekate_ipl file to make sure it hasn't changed? Maybe debug mode is disabled by default when you update?

Im going to update my original post https://gbatemp.net/threads/cheat-codes-ams-and-sx-os-add-and-request.520293/page-1144 with all the new retro cheats, but it looks like my theory was right. This would be the new pointers for all those cheats. (works the same for all players, including No Attack, and Invincibility.)

For simplicity's sake this is what you need to add to all cheats except Score and Special (Since those cheats do not seem to be affected.)

will there be indivisible cheat up to 4 characters/players, please?

Its a bit tricky. I looked at it on the Steam version for reference, and didn't get much help since it was a script that injects itself into the assembly code.

I tried to make cheats for all 4 characters but the pointers for everyone except for Ajna just do not stick. In fact, Im pretty sure the cheat ZiT posted for the 2nd character only works up until you have more than two characters than it stops working. (or at least thats what happened to me)

If you look at the cheats you might notice that Ajna's HP cheat isn't nearly as complex and it's because the teammates are stored in a completely different location. My suspicion is that this is because Ajna's HP needs to be present in both the stage, and during the combat phase (The same for enemies which is also why it was easy for me to make a 1 hit kill cheat). This is because you can attack enemies, and enemies can attack you outside of combat.

Since teammates are not present outside of combat their HP is stored in a more complex way (because the game doesn't need to keep it active all the time, it just needs to bring it up when it needs it.)

Im not sure it's going to happen, I know I am no longer looking for them personally. That game is a bit of a pain since almost everything is in float, and the game is so heavily scripted. It's probably possible, but it would be MUCH easier for somebody with experience writing assembly cheats than for me to find it.

On the plus side, having Inf. HP on Ajna, Inf. Special, and enemies that die instantly MOST of the game is a breeze.

@ZiT - For a Side Scrolling 2D Game, would Inf Jump Codes usually be 8 or 16Bit? Got a Game I am working on, but unsure how to proceed with the Inf Jumps, since they vary depending on the Game.
