I have a New 3DSxl with Luma3DS B9S CFW and is updated to the latest firmware and the latest updates of Luma3DS and GodMode9. I was using Anemone, a custom theme manager. I used a default 3DS theme, along with some custom background music. Immediately after applying the bgm, I got the error message "An exception occurred". The 3DS boots up fine without the Micro-SD Card, but with the Micro-SD inserted into the console at boot, I get the error message after about 5 seconds.

Here is what the error message says:

"An exception occurred

Processor: ARM11 (core 0)
Exception type: data abort
Faut status: Translation - Section
Current process: menu (004003000008F02)"

Could someone help me out? I can give any more info if needed. Thanks!

Thanks, I'll try that right now. I have a feeling it's because of a file on the card, not the card itself. My first thought was anemone bricked it because it didn't know how to handle a custom theme and a default theme mixed. That was just a guess though.

I doubt that that's the problem. It is however possible that removing the theme file from our sd card could let you launch again, but I'm not really sure as I still used chmm

if you want to test that then delete the theme data ....

  1. By computer, go to the Nintendo 3DS/<'ID0'>/<'ID1'>/extdata/00000000/ folder on your SD card.
  2. Delete the 000002cd folder. This folder contains your theme-management information.

Alright, I fixed it. I launched it without the SD Card, put in the SD Card with the console on, then changed to a default theme.

First off. Do not hijack others threads here. Second off. You have 3 posts with the exact same thing. Just wait until someone replies.
