thank you. it's easy to see that the problem occurs after saving the png file and when wiiflow tries to convert the png to a wfc file.
please try this one with sd_write_log=yes and post the results. this will tell me if you are running out of memory or maybe there's an issue with pngu.

i don't suppose you could try a couple more times?

even though i have a feeling its a out of memory error.
i wonder if i change it so it downloads and saves the covers and THEN afterwards run cachecover. no wait you said you did reload cache after downloading and it didn't work either. so the only thing that worked was exiting wiiflow and restarting it which would clear the memory. @blackb0x any thoughts? any chance theres memory not being freed?

Edit: @fledge68 I tried again several times... I cannot reproduce the bug anymore.
I tried deleting 6 covers in a row and re-download. It worked, I didn't even need to reload cache.
Then I kept deleting and downloading covers, it always worked. I don't know what to think

This time it happened on first try. Then I kept on deleting and downloading covers, sometimes it happened, sometimes it didn't.
In one case though (Retro City Rampage PAL) the cover was not downloaded because it was strangely removed from gametdb.com. I checked on the site and it's missing, so it was not wiiflow's fault.
But other times I still had to refresh cache after rebooting, to make it work.

So it is an out of memory error. But it appears that some part of the code isnt clearing memory fast enough some of the times. Or some code is using mem alloc instead of mem2 or mem1 alloc. So when mem alloc is called it sometimes uses too much of mem2 which is what texture saver code uses. I dont know. Just guessing.

So does this only happen with new drvkitpro version? Or both versions.

Dont forget to set sd_write_log back to no. And you can delete wiiflow.log.

Simple answer is No, it cannot load wad files. There isn't any way to JUST load wad files AFAIK. Wad files must be installed to regular NAND and ran as normal channels. OR you must create an emuNAND and install wad files into the emuNAND. WFL supports just about everything the Wii has to offer including emuNAND. There are tutorials on how to setup emuNAND on THIS forum I would recommend. Find & Follow.

I'll just be prompt as to not waste my time. I tried installing ntsc VC super mario bros into the channels on a PAL Wii. It doesn't launch. Also note that I am playing on a CRT TV that is also PAL. Is there any way of running VC NTSC roms on a pal Wii and TV? Wii NTSC games work for example. Also ps1 ntsc games

You could use Priiloader's 'region free channels' hack.
You may have to set Video Mode in Wiiflow to NTSC, if you get a black screen.

Otherwise, if your TV doesn't suppor NTSC video (it can happen on some PAL crt's), there's another option.
You can use custom-nand-loader-MOD to have all your NTSC VC games running at 60hz on PAL Wiis.
It's a little trickier, but it works perfectly.

Hi. Im using latest wiiflow lite on vwii. I have a gamecube controller adapter that works great in gamecube games but i cant controll wiiflow menu with it. Anyone have an idea what the problem can be?

Thanks. Looks like you lost 6mb. Thats crazy. But this doesnt tell me why.

Hi. Im using latest wiiflow lite on vwii. I have a gamecube controller adapter that works great in gamecube games but i cant controll wiiflow menu with it. Anyone have an idea what the problem can be?
Gc adapter support not included.

The Dosbox issue seems to be fixed, I had no problems playing doxbox games.
Apart from the cover downloading bug everything seems ok. However, in the older versions, I never had the DSI crash with the Classic Controller.
Sorry, I was convinced that the Dosbox bug you was referring to was another one (controls not responding) and I didn't follow the link. Now I see you were talking about the retroarch dosbox
I haven't tested with retroarch's core, so disregard my previous post

actually i'm pretty sure he was talking about the controller not working.

Yes, that DOSbox Wii controller bug indeed. Retroarch dosbox is weak in comparison anyway.
Maybe that bug is fixed with the latest devkit. Maybe not...

I don't want to sound like a broken record. All has been said in that discussion.

I'm having a weird issue,...I got a 2nd Wii for my son, and I was just testing loading games from the SD card (until my new external gets here) and the games that do load (on my original Wii), load with the japanese language, and if I hit Home button, all the text is in japanese except for the word "Wii", the games arent playing or displaying in japanese, just the system text while they're loading and the Home button menu while playing.. 4.3U nothing changed system (IOS wise)
