alright I just saw romsstars updates... at least he's keeping in touch with those who are interested.

crazy its taken this long and yet its not really dead- no attitude from me keep it up devs. Your doing what the pro dev teams should've done long ago for free

Are there any updates to the game translation or has the project unfortunately been abandoned?

Updates are posted on their facebook page, which is linked on the first page of this thread. Don't worry, it's not dead.

Good thing, because I'm so excited about this game, especially now with Survival and Cyber Sleuth coming to the PC, Digimon Fever has just returned. D = Thank you for answering me.

This is amazing! I love digimon! People say it's rip off of Pokemon but I think it's equally as good. I would also like to know how much of the game has been translated. Just a brief overview like if the main story is done and you just need to finish the side quests or npc's.

Keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.... fast forward to the end of the year... not sure where we are at with this game

I'd almost request the head translator to release what he has and let see if the community can finish it at this point

If you had bothered to check the Facebook page, which is where they actually post updates, you would have seen the most recent post is from only two months ago and that the project is still underway. It takes time for projects like these to be completed, and releasing a half-finished patch for other people to fix isn't going to make the translation come any faster.

This isn't an abandoned project.

releasing nothing in years is almost the same as an abandoned project if there is LITTLE progress actually shown.

I understand there are videos floating around from years previous but some transparency regarding progress where it all started (here on GBAtemp) would be nice

We don't owe anything to anyone. We're still working on it and maybe we make it before the end of the year, maybe we don't (I'm not in a position to assess that).

The issue with showing updates is... what would you show? Some translated screenshots don't indicate anything (and may contain spoilers) and the "flashy" stuff are just some ASM hacks to modify the UI.

Also, having people proclaim your project as dead/abandoned/whatever is really annoying...

Soon the game might be finished (maybe before 2020!). And I swear to god, when it happens I will give my Digimons so much Love <3
Thx alot Romsstar and I hope the new machine will help your eyes, best of luck in the upcoming new year. :)
And of course a huge shoutout to all members from the project for the hard and awesome work!

my only issue is how it started here and the lack of updates on GBAtemp, seems like everything is on reddit or everything else big

its all on the facebook forum now- romsstar says he's close to done... but 2019 release looks unlikely now

https://www.facebook.com/OperationDecoded/

says decoded is on schedule.. and was working on lost evo as well as others

We have written a tool which allows us to enable unplayable Digimon to be playable. If you remember my somewhat older stream of "Black gabumon line" in Re:Digitize, we basically have written a more advanced version of that tool for Decode.
We can create custom evolution lines, adjust sizes , toilet times, basically anything really. All still beta but we can do far more than what you saw in the stream.

Please team... Please tell me this mentioned tool will be released together on release date with the english patch! Can't tell you how badly I want a playthrough with my favorite digi from the beginning of the game with his canon digivolution line hard coded in!

Thank you so much guys and I hope you all continue having a marvelous holiday season and a happy new year!

Shouting out to a single and able digidestined, I need YOUR help!
Also this is the best place to do this so hey, I need a single volunteer. Once this game patch is released, me & someone are looking to upscale all of this games ENTIRE texture assets. To do this I need one of you! I'm looking for a speed runner to recruit to play for the game as quickly as possible in it's entirety while dumping his/her textures with the settings under Citra configuration -> Graphics -> Enhancements -> Utility. Check the Dump textures checkbox and leave it on for the duration of the game. The quickest this gets done the sooner all of us will have an HD Texture Pack!

We haven't talked about how we deal with out tools in a while. Personally I see no issue with releasing the tools (except that I'd have to adjust my tools to be usable by the public), but in the end I'll leave that decision up to Romsstar.

My tool in particular allows the extraction and insertion of textures already so you'd not even need to use Citra's tools for that (meaning you could also use it on console, leaving memory restrictions aside). I should probably also mention that Romsstar has been looking into improving the textures himself.
So it might be a good idea to contact us on Discord. ;)

Thank you, I'd love to chat about it! I'm worried about memory constraints mostly since most of these textures will be 3x their original size. Can you DM your guys discord?
