i feel i know the answer to this question already but i'm hoping.

I bought a switch recently and out of the box it came as 9.1.0, which was a tad disappointing. It's the XKW serial number, so spicy patched life. That being said the only thing i really want to get is games for "cheaper". I really don't care for themes, online play or anything aside from just local and solo play. From everything i have seen, i am lead to believe that i am out of luck for a while.
So my question is there anyway to get games or like the equivalent of an r4 for my switch. I don't mind doing some hard mod stuff or buying an accessory, but constantly paying 100 dollars for each game is a tad nutty.

So should i wait till something comes out? or should i really consider selling this one and buy ether an older switch or older firmware? or should i just give up all hope?

So I have an issue, not sure if it's standard.

My Switch is banned, but I'm trying to do something which requires the date and time to be accurate. But the OS date and time sync isn't working. Is that normal? Is there a fix for it?

I plan on setting up an emuNand at some point in the near future. However, there are a few questions I have that are preventing me from doing so:

1. I don't have a Jig, nor do I have a Credit Card in order to get one. However, I have gathered several house-hold items that should do the trick, such as Paper Clips, a Safety Pin, and even some Bobby Pins. My First Question is: would putting a Bobby Pin on both the tenth (10th) Left Joy-Con Rail Pin and another on a Ground Pin (say, Pin 7?), then connecting them in some way (like either using a Paper Clip in the Middle or tilting them until they touch) work in getting into RCM, or would it damage my Switch beyond repair?

2. I have a Toshiba Laptop with Windows Vista that can only be used in Safe Mode, since it gets stuck in an endless loop at the loading bar screen when starting up normally. However, apparently you need to install Drivers in order to send a Hax Payload to the Switch, and I hear Safe Mode disables the use of Drivers by default. My Next Question is: is there any way to enable these so that I can send the Payload (and if so, how?), or will I have to find some other way to do it?

3. I have an Android Phone with USB OTG capabilities (that's also rooted), but no USB OTG Adapter. I can't order one online (thanks to the aforementioned lack of a Credit Card), and I have been unable to find one in-store. I also don't have any devices with a USB Type-C port. However, I've been able to find USB-A to USB-C adapters in the wild, though I have been hesitant to buy one. My Final Question is: would using a plain-old regular USB-A to Micro-USB cord, putting the USB-C adapter on the USB-A end and plugging it into the Switch, while plugging the Micro-USB end into my OTG-Enabled Android device, work just as well in sending the Payload to my Switch, or does it have to use a specific type of Transfer Cord to do so?

Hi guys.
Yesterday I updated the CFW to the latest version 9.1.0.
And then I updated Atmosphere to its latest version as well.
Then, I updated Kosmos and I placed the latest folder of hbg shop on my SD card (7.0.1b).
When I tried to use Tinfoil on my Switch, it wouldn't open the hbg shop and it would say my SD Card is corrupted. I then tried to open games that were installed on my SD card and it would show the same message error. The games installed on the console were working fine.
I did a clean reset of the SD Card: re-format to fat32, deleting everything and then placing the folder from the SD Card Setup containing atmosphere and everything (I didn't choose Kosmos/Hekate, just a simple fusee-primary).
Everything works fine, but I just can't seem to make Tinfoil work and it always show the same message.
I don't think it's a problem with my SD card, otherwise I wouldn't be able to launch the rest of the homebrew apps. I'm also having a problem with Goldtree, it doens't recognize my PC when I'm on a USB connection (the USB icon is there though).
Is there someone who can help me solve this?

Is there anything that will allow me to switch between cfw emunand and ofw nand without powering down the console and booting again? SX OS user, if that matters (but I'll add that I'm not asking for your opinion on TX). I play games (legit carts) online occasionally, but the pain of having to reboot and inject payload (using autoRCM so as to not burn fuses) is a deterrent to doing it(I'm lazy).

Other free and open-source CFW have reboot_to_payload which allows them to reboot to a payload without powering off the console. I am not sure SX OS has such a feature.

1. Unless you are really rough with the pins, the chances of damaging the Switch are low
2. You will most likely have to use a different device to send payloads
3. You do not need a USB-C cable unless you are using a MacOS computer

An unpatched console means the hardware is vulnerable since the exploit relies on the hardware. And since it uses the hardware, the software aka the firmware does not matter. You should also use this thread instead of any website as that thread is more updated than any site.

No one has been banned for that yet. Nintendo doesn’t check which files you have on the micro sd. It’s not necessary to swap the cards. And no, you won’t lose anything on the card. But as always you should create a backup.

So might just install onto the SD card with all my games already so don't have to swap around. By the sounds of it as long as I follow the may guides out there to install SX OS I shouldn't have an issue.

One last question If I want to buy a switch lite or another model down the track, can I transfer my account and data to new one without any issues??

Hi, I am setting up a new unpatched Switch for Atmosphere. I am getting error 2347-0003, even though the latest version of hbmenu.nro is on the root of my micro sd. The emummc I am using is running firmware 9.0.1 but it is also running the latest version of Atmosphere, so I am not sure if these are conflicting. Please help!

Update!: I fixed this by updating to the latest Atmosphere release from a few days ago, 10.2.

So the new question is, why is my nxtheme not applied to the lockscreen? IIRC, Atmosphere is the only firmware that supports lockscreen theme modification on firmwares 9.0.0 up, so I'm not sure what's wrong?

I've created an emuMMC for my switch. But when I try to copy backed up Nintendo folder to the emummc Nintendo folder, my games still say I need to redownload them. Did I miss something?

UPDATE: Ok, for some reason the contents of the folder didn't all copy correctly. I copied everything again and now it works fine!

Update no.2: fixed the theme issue, but when I try to open Tinfoil, I get error 2168-0002 (0x4a8)
Not quite sure what is wrong. I am running Atmosphere 0.10.2 and firmware 9.1.0.
Every other app I've tested works as it should.
I have those 'sweet' things installed and a folder for Tinfoil on the root of my Micro SD.
I also tried it with a Tinfoil folder in the 'Switch' folder, and with it in both places.

It will be downloaded now.", when I press download it says "A server communication error has occured. Please try agian later."

What am I missing?

The "tinfoil" you are using is a fake and not the real tinfoil. I and many other people do not support it or HBG Shop. Awoo Installer works and is free of any bullshit.

Restore the PRODINFO that Incognito wiped. If you do not have a backup, you have banned yourself. And you can trade Pokemon locally as long as they are legitimate. Finally, as the site suggests, please refrain from double posting.

My problem (or it might not be) is that I didnt remove any of my switch accounts before doing so. Is this a problem? If so is there any way to remove them from my emunand and create a new profile? any help would be appreciated I'm lost.

Depends on the serial number of your switch. It’s still possible that you buy an unpatched switch but it’s unlikely. Before you buy it, you can check the serial number here: ismyswitchpatched.com. It’s easier to buy a used one from eBay.

Personally, I don’t use Incognito but what it does is to remove stuff from your prodinfo. So you don’t have to remove profiles. You won’t be able to connect to Nintendo‘s server.

No, both use the same save on the console. If you have unlegit NSPs installed, you should never go online in the corresponding NAND. You risk a ban. Bans are currently console based.

Save modifying will lead to a ban depending on the game. I wouldn't risk it.
