Hekate/Atmosphere loads the sigpatches provided with Kosmos, they're not baked in at compile time.

As far as I'm aware they use the pre-compiled binaries of Atmosphere from its' repository.

I prefer atmosphere but I use SXOS at the moment. The reason is that I have my sysMMC at fw v1.0.0 and I use emuMMC for my cfw. However, I really prefer a file-based type emuMMC over a partition type since it's easier to backup, restore, and even transfer from one sd to another. And as we all know, file-based emuMMC is still not optimized for atmosphere. There isn't even a user-friendly tool to backup and restore partition-based emuMMC.

Once it's optimized for atmos, I'll switch back. (No pun intended)

Atmosphere isn't even a CFW by normal scene rules, you have to invoke nintendo scene rules of "call it a cfw as we can't have a real cfw and I WANT CFW"

Can you quantify that? 9.0.1 is 314mb zipped, atmosphere 0.9.4 is 4.94mb zipped

Atmosphere isn't really "firm", it relies on an exploit to load it which makes it "soft"

Good theory, but never works in practice. Just wait till sxos v3 comes out and you'll see what I mean.

Atmos is free, runs at the latest OFW, easily runs games. It's the best so far.
SXOS is fine and all, but costs money.

ReiNX is lagging behind atm (useless atm when patched atmosphere exist), but it is the best/2nd best when up to date.
