Hello.:)

Thank you, that is a lot better as you see.:yaywii:
(Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 running on IOS58)

Your sysCheck looks good.

A little Suggestion for you please can you change your

IOS249[56] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 65535, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

to

IOS249[56] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0
IOS250[57] (rev 21, Info: d2x-v10beta52): Trucha Bug, NAND Access, USB 2.0

Did you use the latest Version (v3.0 r1272) of the USBLoader GX ?

For the USBLoader GX please try to set your Loader´s IOS to 58 (Global Settings -> Loader Settings - Loader´s IOS 58).

Which Kind of USB Device did you use please ? HDD (recommended) or USB Stick/Thumb/Flash or Pen Drive ?
Your USB Device is formatted with FAT32 ?

Thank you.:)
Hi Do you mean change to the rev 21008? Loaders ios is set to ios 58 but the other one thats on default ios 249 i change to ios 224 (because thats the only one that doesnt crash on wii games but ill try changing rev to 21008 on slot 249 and 250) for wii games and 249 or 250 for game cube games. I do use a 500gb hdd i dont know the brand because i dont think it has one? and it is formatted to fat 32. Also what difference does the rev make i know what the base and cios are but dont know what the purpose of rev is? Also thank you so much for being patient and trying to help me out. I do appreciate the suuport.

My personal Experiences learns me to use Rev.21.
With the d2x cIOS Installer you can easily choose the Revision.
Of course you can use Rev.21006 too.:)

To get you to the Right Way:

The USBLoader GX LOADER IOS is set to 58. -> Loader´s IOS -58
Not the Game IOS -> Game´s IOS - 249

P1060575.JPG

The Game IOS can be very different (249 or 250 or 223 or 247 and so on....).:)

Your HDD seems ok.:yay:

Thank you.:)

I really wish I had came here first to mod my wii. Probably would have been better that way.
I'm having the problem with the black screen, tho before I did the wii backup manager transfer for Just Dance and Back to The Future I did get Super Mario Bros Wii to run and played a few levels, when I went back after putting those two games on and went to play I got a black screen. Then Super Mario Bros wii went to a black screen.
I tried reformatting and it didn't seem to work.

Hello.:)

I am sorry to hear of your Issues with your Wii.
Thank you for the sysCheck, that was very forward-looking from you.:yaywii:

What immediately stands out in the sysCheck is

IOS249[37] (rev 21006 Info: d2x-v6): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

For the USB Loader to work properly it is recommended to change/update it to

IOS249[56] (rev 21 Info: d2x-v8): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0
or better
IOS249[56] (rev 21 Info: v10beta52): Trucha Bug NAND Access USB 2.0

You can use the d2x cIOS Installer to achieve this.

What is also important, which USBLoader and which Version of it did you use please ? And on which IOS the Loader runs ?
(You can check this int he Global Settings of the USBLoader).

Thank you.:)

Ahhh yeah I remember I think I did that for Neogamma to load Gamecube games but tbh I don't really care about getting the gamecube games working anymore.
Although I do have a bunch of burned Wii disc backups that I can't get USBloader GX to read either. Would updating IOS249 fix that as well?
If I recall correctly looking in the credits is where I find the version and IOS?
In the corner it says Rev1272 IOS58(Rev 1676) AHB.

If that is the Case then you have a "weird" Wii.:rofl2:
To be serious,it is v6176 for sure according to your sysCheck:
IOS58 (rev 6176): USB 2.0

Your USBLoader GX´s Loader IOS58 is ok.You can check it in the USBLoader GX Settings -> Global Settings -> Loader Settings -> Loader´s IOS
Yes,please update your IOS249 to the suggested one.

Thank you.:)

Ok then, if updating the IOS will also make USBloader read burned discs I will do it.
I have to ask what you mean by "weird wii" because I bought it at a flea market, but it's an LU model. One of the older ones.

No it is only of the IOS58 Version.:D

No,I can not give you a Warranty, that your Wii reads burned Discs after the Update.:)
Maybe your DVD Drive is not capable read it at all of has an Issue.

You can maybe check it based on the Serial Number of your Wii.

Play games etched with Neogamma, but it may not work, it all depends on the release date of your wii.

But know, that use the reader to read the engraved games, wear of the lens prematurely

Oh no what I mean is I know my Wii can read burned discs through Neogamma. Let me clarify.

I'm asking if the USBloader might read burned discs after I update the IOS and it's not reading them now because of the IOS being old. I know that Neogamma reads them. It's been working for a while.

OH it wears out the disc reader to read burned discs?? Is that just Neogamma? Should I use a different program? Or is that just in general for reading all burned discs?

I might just keep with what works for now cause I have at least 32 discs I burned. I've been doing that cause I only have 32 gb flash drive and only wanted to use it when I absolutely needed it. I might invest in a USB drive if the case is that it will wear out the disc Reader over time.

Sorry for so many questions, I am a big noob to the Wii nodding. The most I modded is jailbreaking an android.

I know you can't guarantee anything but I want to see if I understand these things correctly before I do anything because I barely understood the tutorial I did to softmod the wii in the first place and you see how I messed up. Ha.

I decided to test my USBloader with a official disc and it would not read it anymore.
I guess I already wore it out.
I have no other choice but to use the USBloader now.

If you want a USB key, to play your games ==> it's your choice, often the USB keys work poorly with the wii (black screen or does not work), prefer an external hard drive in FAT 32.

After you see who you prefer.

Me, it's quickly chosen. :lol::yaywii:

Sincerely Jeannotte.

Do you happen to know what Cios base I use? I have it set up like
Select Cios <v10 beta 52 dx-v10-beta52>
Select Cios base <37>
Select cios slot <249>
Select cios revision <21010>

Is that correct?

This didn't seem to work. Still getting black screen.
I'm going to invest in a USB drive and try from there.
Thank you for all the help though.
