Google "Anamorphic Widescreen", that's what this mode does in fact, the FOV is increased internally in the game, then it gets squized at the DS resolution, then the scale matrix stretches the image, resulting in a not-stretched view of 3D graphics. Is complicat to explain...

TLDR: The aspect ratio is not just stretched, it is enhanced.

What fresh devilry is this?

I have an acekard 2i which I got working on my 3ds; can twilight replace akaio on that so I can use this wide-screen shenanigans that way? Or is it only possible through twilight on the 3ds SD card?

Also, is there a list of compatible games where such magic is evident?
Edit: never mind that last bit, got it working and I see there's a .txt with them all in.

not sure if i should open an issue on nds-bootstrap but something is wrong with pokemon platinum, it runs too fast (the music is fine but the game is too fast )

last time i tried it i changed speed when i entered different areas and last time before that it was fine, is it an anti piracy measure or something???

edit: i looked it up and found the solution https://github.com/ahezard/nds-bootstrap/issues/761

Updates
v10.0.0

Check here on how to update TWiLight Menu++.

Includes nds-bootstrap v0.25.2.

What's new?
  • B4DS (nds-bootstrap for flashcards) is now included!
(May not work for Acekard theme.)
  • B4DS users can now change the language, save number, and nds-bootstrap build in per-game settings!
  • Removed temp file creation for B4DS, as it's no longer needed.
  • Settings: Page switch text is now shown on bottom screen.
  • Updated GBARunner2 to this build.
Improvement
  • (@Vague Rant) Widescreen cheats now use the 199A value, instead of 1999.
    (All but GRID)
You no longer need to hold L for these games to work
  • SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis
  • Ultimate Mortal Kombat
  • The World Ends With You

Having a small issue here. I've followed everything correctly but when I open TwiLight Menu in my flashcard (R4i Gold 3DS) it just goes to a white screen forever. My microsd is formatted as FAT32 with 32k cluster and I've done multiple formats (even with sdformatter).

If you're trying to autoboot into TWiLight Menu++, it's probably not working.
You may have to boot it with the flashcard's menu.

I've tried manual booting and autoboot. Autoboot doesn't even load TwiLight Menu, it just boots to the regular flashcard UI

Uh I fixed it somehow lol. I deleted the "R4i Menu" folder and replaced the "_rpg" folder with a fresh one and it worked. No idea why

Cool now it white screens on games

Your flashcard isn't compatible with B4DS.
