Make sure TWLMenu++ is on the latest version.
Also, how much free space is left on the SD card?
Minute one up to date, around 20GB, or maybe it's my flashcard?

Nintendo DSi UI
Was the progress bar displayed next to the icon, or was only the icon shown? If only the icon was shown, and the bar never appeared, then it's possible something is wrong with your SD card. Try launching the game again, and see if the issue occurs again.

The bar showed up, progressing smoothly until it was full and then the progress bar gone and the square icon just keep circling until it froze.
Once it froze, i press home button to exit twlmenu, tried to reopen it again, the same result happen and finally i waited until 1 hour pass but nothing change, things remain frozen.
I tried many Dsiware games as well

The sdcard is brand new, i already tried with other brand new as well, all fat32 with 32kb cluster

Then other options you can try are changing the User Interface to either R4 Original or Wood, and/or disabling the "Slot-1 DSiWare to SD". The latter setting will make the game run straight from your flashcard, but if your flashcard isn't an R4(i) Ultra, the game will either be patched to use a different save format (used for running DSiWare games in DS mode), or for some games, won't save at all.

Sorry for late reply, it says "an error occured" with ndsbootstrap screen when disabling the "Slot-1 DSiWare to SD"

I bought an old flashcart(M3 DS REAL bp5es), use GMP-Z003_Sakura_1.49a kernel (sakura & touchpod).
(I'm not going to play games with M3, just try sakura & touchpod kernel)
(I also installed TWiLightMenu++ on M3's TFcard and it works fine)
.
Is there anything special about "Launch Slot-1 card" in TWiLightMenu++?
M3 boot automatically on DSi(Unlaunch installed) or with Unlaunch , most game white screen:(, RTS stuck after LOAD.
If boot M3 with TWiLightMenu++(SDcard)'s Slot-1 , game can run  , but RTS Menu screen stuck.
(TWiLightMenu++(SDcard)settings: SCFG access in Slot-1 Off, SD access in Slot-1 Off, Slot-1 Touch Mode DS mode, Slot-1 microSD access Off, Auto-start Slot-1 No)
.
EDIT: I found it to have something to do with TWiLightMenu++(SDcard)setting, Solt-1 Launch Method Direct.
Top screen tips "will not use your set language or CPU speed".
Which settings does the language&CPU speed refer to?

Any way to run the SnemulDS revival fork on TWiLight-Menu++ like a regular bundled emulator?
I've heard it has much better compatibility with the SNES library, and even comes in three flavors: two of them are for DSP-1 and S-DD1 chip games. Right now I'd just like to make the main build of the emulator my default (since it supports the Cx4 chip used in Mega Man X2 and X3).

I can launch it separately the same way I would do it on any regular DSiWare or DS game, but it's slightly inconvenient to do so. TWiLight-Menu++ defaults to SnemulDS.nds instead of SnemulDS.srl, which is the newer "revival" fork.

As a side note, are there any plans to make this new version of the emulator bundled and/or compatible with future versions of TWiLight-Menu?
TIA. :yaynds:

I have a dsi xl & I did the twilight mod with it & i'm having issues whenever the game autosaves I get red screen with the error code. Should I redo twilight mod by restoring my dsi backup & redoing the mod or is there any other method to fix this?

I have no idea as to why this happens, so a re-install should probably work.

v27.15.1
Includes nds-bootstrap v2.6.2 (GBATemp thread)

What's new?

  • The image viewer now displays images/photos in the RGB565 color format for improved green color display!
    • For the images to display without issues, the music is now sequenced instead of streamed.
  • The DS(i) splash or custom splash, along with the manual and custom banner icons, will also be displayed in the RGB565 color format!
  • Pressing A in the image viewer will now switch the dithering method used for displaying 32/24-bit color .bmp images or all .png images.
    • Temporal dithering (used every time when opening an image) basically works around color banding by switching dark/bright pixels in rapid succession.
    • Normal dithering pauses the pixel-switching, revealing a grid-like pattern.
  • Added a Sonic-themed TWLMenu++ splash for Sonic the Hedgehog's anniversary!
    • The splash jingle has been added since past versions.
  • If the Virtual Console add-on is not installed, the TWLMenu++ splash screen will now show icons of three GBA models above the logo, and three DS models below the logo.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed dark color crushing for some images due to temporal dithering (aka color de-banding).
  • @mentusfentus: DS Classic Menu: Fixed top bar date text not displaying correctly in German.
  • If a photo in `sd:/_nds/TWiLightMenu/dsimenu/photos/` is found to have transparency/alpha, it'll now be applied with the black color instead of not using transparency/alpha at all (which could reveal hidden graphics).

I am getting a white screen after trying to open both Pokemon Black and White, a DSi enhanced ROM. I am certain this issue started with nds-bootstrap v2.6.2, I remember it still working properly on v2.6.1

I tried to open Pokemon Black first, I have an existing save file with that. Then after the white screen, I rebooted and opened Pokemon White. Twilight Menu showed it created a save file (I didn't have one before) and same issue, white screen.

The issue was introduced in v2.6.1, but was fixed in v2.6.2. Make sure you are using that version, and is displayed in TWLMenu++ Settings.

I was playing Pokemon Ranger and I am seeing v2.6.2 on the nds-bootstrap menu, so I am sure I updated properly. Regardless, I download/updated the v2.6.2 files again and I am still getting the white screen issue.

Maybe I need to reset the donor ROM, how can I do that?

Resetting the donor ROM works the same as setting one for the first time (pressing Y on a ROM and then selecting "Set as Donor ROM").
Make sure the donor ROM (ex. DSi-Exclusive or DSiWare) is launchable before setting one though.

If you are using a DSi, then the donor ROM is automatically set. You can still set one manually though.

If the issue persists, then try re-installing.

v27.16.0
v27.16.0: 4th of July Release
Includes nds-bootstrap v2.7.1 (GBATemp thread)

What's new?

  • Added a better version of the DSi Menu music, with better quality and lasting up to 8 minutes and 39 seconds to ensure no parts have been left out! In order to keep the filesize of TWLMenu++ down, the better music has been made available as an add-on.
    • Required space on the SD card: 32MB
  • To improve visual accuracy of the DSi Menu UI look, the original user color palettes with white edges has been added.
    • For this change to not affect past custom themes, support for a new theme .ini setting called `UsernameEdgeAlpha` has been added, and is disabled by default.
  • If the emulators and multimedia applications are left over from your previous TWLMenu++ installation(s) from before the add-on feature was implemented, the `Virtual Console` and `Multimedia` add-on flags will be created in order to continue using those applications without the need to manually install the add-ons!
    • For speed reasons, only nesDS and the TWLMenu++ image viewer are detected.
  • DSi-based UIs: Before loading the current directory listing, the `Now Loading...` screen is now displayed when loading the UI music & sound data.
  • Various: Updated translations.

Excellent work as always but with latest update I have a problem of Dragon Quest IV/V and VI no longer boot they all just goto a black screen. And Dragon Quest IX loads to a white screen

(Edit) they are loading fine using an old nightly bootstrap so the roms are not at fault
