What should I do? Should I replace the files to an older version of twilight menu to fix it or should I get a new r4 which would run without any issues? & What r4 should I get for better results?

That game always had that issue. You could try switching to GBARunner3.

After following instructions, download the latest build and configs here (GitHub account required):

did the gbarunner3 setup https://github.com/Gericom/GBARunner3/actions/runs/15507689919 with these files. moved the gbarunner3.nds to the emulator folder, moved the config folder & bios file to the _gba folder, all good the emulator runs fine, the games don't get stuck, the only issue i'm having now is that the game sometimes glitches like characters do like a blinking effect it's kinda annoying, will there be a new version of the gbarunner3 that I can replace in the future to fix these small issues?

The flickering sprites is a side-effect of the fix for the game freezing. Not sure if it's possible to fix.

It wasn't my intention to ignore you. I just didn't understand your question.
What exactly happens when you turn on your DSi? Or did you already solve your issue?
He seems to have a NAND problem? I took a look yesterday.
(How to turn off replied alerts:blush:)
I replied to someone before, maybe:arrow: it helps @CheeseBurgerwithLove

Not that. I was just wondering if it's possible to use some kind of program to extract the BIOS/firmware from my copy of NAND I created 7 years ago, since my DSi stopped working relatively recently, and I can't use the dsi dumper tool.

No, it is not possible.
since my DSi stopped working relatively recently, and I can't use the dsi dumper tool.
That's why I asked what happens when you turn on the DSi.
Because if the power LED turns on, but the screens do not turn on, then you can use a flashcard that's compatible with ntrboot (which is basically what allows the DSi to continue functioning in a bricked state).
https://wiki.ds-homebrew.com/ds-index/ntrboot

Once you have ntrboot set up, you can then use Safe NAND Manager to dump your BIOS and firmware from your console, along with restoring your NAND backup.

Known issue. Will be fixed in the next version, if you're using the Slot-1 SCFG access feature.
Just for clarity: does this affect all flashcarts? I get the same issue (I think) with Ace3DS X.

I get a white screen when launching retail NDS games (Bookworm, Peggle Dualshot, Bejeweled 3) when I load my cart through 3DS SD version of Twilight (with Slot-1 SCFG enabled). I use nds-bootstrap to load the games.

Works fine when I launch cart directly from the 3DS home menu.

Yes, this affects all flashcards.

v27.15.0
v27.15.0
Includes nds-bootstrap v2.6.0 (GBATemp thread)

What's new?

  • In order to reduce bloat, the non-default DSi/3DS UI music + HBL music, emulators (considered as TWLMenu++ Virtual Console) and multimedia features (image viewing and video playing) have now been split into three separate add-ons, and are no longer bundled by default.
    • To restore these features, follow the steps for installing add-ons.
    • GBARunner2 (to be replaced with GBARunner3 in the future) will remain bundled for playing GBA games as an essential feature.
  • `dsiware` folder has been renamed to `dsi` in order to be a folder for any DSi ROM (both from game cards and as DSiWare).
  • DSi/3DS: When launching a DS(i) game via nds-bootstrap with screen filter and/or DS Phat colors enabled, TWL clock speed will now be used by default in order to speed up the filter processing (mainly for Actimagine/Mobiclip videos), unless the game is blacklisted from using TWL clock speed.
  • tuna-viDS now supports screen filters!
  • Both AmEDS and CrocoDS (outdated Amstrad CPC emulators) have been replaced with SugarDS (by @wavemotion)!
  • Slightly increased the volume of the DS & DSi splash sounds to closely match their original volumes.
  • The DS tap sound in the DS & DSi splash screens has been replaced with the DSi version.
  • @mentusfentus: DS Classic Menu: Calendar and top-bar datetime are now drawn using monospaced characters. (What this means)
  • @mentusfentus: DS Classic Menu: Calendar weekdays are now translatable!
  • Various: Updated translations.

Bug fixes

  • DSi-based UIs: The checks for DSi binaries and AP-patch now reset when swiping icons or dragging scroll bar.
  • R4 and Wood UIs: Fixed the per-game settings menu not appearing for ROMs with a custom banner.
  • @mentusfentus: DS Classic Menu: Fixed black background when using Saturn & HBL UIs.
  • DS: Fixed white screen crash on SuperCard CF flashcards (not to be confused with SuperCard MiniSD).

They do, but only if the app is being ran from the SD card, and the flashcard has to be compatible with being directly accessed, without launching the flashcard.
So in short, if it's not r4(i)ultra, i can't run DSiWare from flashcard even with SD access in Slot-1, SCFG access in Slot-1 and Auto-start Slot-1 on my 3ds?

You can, DSiWare will just be temporarily copied to the SD card in order for it to work properly.
