Was playing Smash Bros on atmosphere on 9.0.1 went to sleep after playing and woke up and switch doesn't boot up. It goes to Nintendo logo then stays on black screen. This happens when just booting it up normally. When I boot it up with atmosphere it shows atmosphere logo but black screen again after. What happen? Is my switch broken?

I always had atmosphere running and while it was running I updated my switch to lattest fw, after it updated I was surprise to see that my mods and homebrew were still working. But now it just doesn't boot up. It's fully charged too

It's funny cause I order a new micro SD card before it happened, but I doubt that'll do it since my switch black screens even with no SD card

Sounds like your card got corrupted. It the switch boots to os without sd card then yeah sounds like the issue is with your card.

Mine doesn't boot anymore as well.

It appears that I accidentaly flashed something (someone competent on this forum explained it to me, which seems to be a common newbie mistake, but I forgot the details...I'm so dumb).
In fact, I can only start the contraption using my beloved SX dongle so, it is not a big deal.

Battery also drains awfully fast even swithed off or on sleep mode, so, before any restart with SX, I have to fully charge the console (and the dongle to be sure), otherwise nothing works.
Well, if changing your memcard doesn't change a thing, it could be a 30€ fix for you.

But who cares about the switch, seriously ? :P
Since I bought a GPD2, I must admit that MGS5 and Red Alert 3 are the best things I ever experienced on the go !

Sounds like you toggled autorcm that's why you can only boot it through sx dongle.

Interesting, I will check this out.
Love your avatar, you can always rely on Jack the ripper (MGS:R was also wonderful on the go, but I digress...).

I wonder if there is some similar file that caused issue for this user and one before because the issue sounds similar
idk why I typed ''doesn't'' but I meant it black screen even without the SD card

update, my switch is broken. Doesn't boot up normally, I made it die to 0% and recharge and turned it on with rcm and still nothing. Put a new sd card in and still nothing. It just boots up to nintendo logo and then black screen of death. Doesn't boot up with no SD card. Last things I did on it was dreamcast emulator and playing smash bros all day with mods before going to sleep. How did it die?
