TX Presents SX OS v2.9 BETA - With Full v9.0 Firmware Support!

NEW UPDATE FIXES UPGRADE ISSUES!

PLEASE USE V2.9.1b INSTEAD OF 2.9

YOU CAN NOW USE CHOIDUJOURNX 1.0.2 WITH 2.9.1b

**********************************************

Good day, fans and believers! We hope you are all having a good weekend.

SXOS29.png

Team-Xecuter has done it again, they have updated their world-famous SX OS to now support the latest v9.0 Switch firmware from Nintendo.
Today, we bring you a much needed update of SX OS. Full compatibility with the latest Switch firmware 9.0! Sorry that we kept you waiting, we wanted to make sure all our unique features still properly work.

Additionally, we also introduced support for the "Horizon split format". This means that people who use FAT32 can have folders named 'game.xci' with split parts contained therein (named 00, 01, 02, etc.). Make sure the folder has the 'archive' bit set.

We know you are waiting for some other big features in SX OS, they are coming.. We wanted to get this compatibility update out first though.

So what are you waiting for? SX OS 2.9 beta is available for download on our website now! (and also through the builtin online updater part of SX OS.)

well I tried that
But I can’t format the SD file (write protected I don’t know why?)
And I only get 32 gig out of 200 gig as space (fat32)

is there a hidden partition or something like that?
Sounds like you corrupted your card? Do you have a spare sd card? Format it to fat32, put your cfw of choice, then inject payload.

I had this happen to me multiple times. That sd card partition gets F*** up.. I always manage to fix this. At least 99%.

I assume you use windows 10.

1.Right click on windows symbol.
2.Chose disk managment.
3. Find your ad card
4. Right click on what is your sd card.
5. Delete partition
6. After job done, right click on in again and chose format...

Now it should allocate full disk space

If not try try to command line..
Search disk part and run as admin

Then list disk
Then select disk (number of you sd card)
Then type clean. And press enter

After that close and for back to disk managment and try again..

Where do you get the 2.8 boot.dat? I already updated my SX Os to 2.9 then referred to this forum thereafter - I can't find any links online for the 2.8 SX OS

Readin the SX official page/statement makes me cringe with embarrassment. "Full 9.0 support"!! ... this shoulda been changed yesterday lads. 10% seem to have fluked it by readin other peoples misfortune!! The other 90% were duped into updating and are now at the mercy of their "crack team" of glorified charlatans to rectify this screw up. What a screw up to make though. Amateur hour! Depressing.

Atmosphere doesn't brick consoles when updating firmware :D
Neither does sx os.

Or we have another muppet that doesnt remember they have autorcm enabled and once update has installed it enters rcm mode again thus your fucked because the firmware update blocks all exploits until support is added.

yeah noobs and haters keep throwing around the term ''brick'' - at worst it corrupts the boot0/boot1 partition momentarily.

It is easily repaired and the switch still works and if you either follow the proceedure PROPERLY, or just wait until TX does an expected 2.91 update, then there is no ''brick'' at all.

I really don't understand all these people rushing to upgrade their emuNAND when there is absolutely no need to at all. sysNAND updates without any hassles.

lol I updated to 9.0.0 and got the 2.9 beta on my SD Card. Can't boot into SXOS 2.9. Horizon gives me an error that I should press the power button for 12 seconds. Starting the original fw works without problems. Any idea what I can do?

it seems sx os 2..9 doesn't let you install incognito mode anymore, just like what happens to atmosphere. I wonder if that's something that is being looked into...

either way, suppose I had installed incognito before (using sxos 2.8, that is), will updating emunand to 9.0 and running sxos 2.9 "revert"/"nulify" the incognito mode previously set up? that's what I did, and the fact the serial number still doesn't show up makes me believe incognito is still up and running, but I'd rather be sure about it.

what do you guys think?

does anyone have an answer to this? My emunand is already on 9.0, but I really need some help before updating my sysnand as well.

thank you.

well sadly doesnt work :(
I can get into hektate boot manager ... but it doenst matter if I launch CFW (Sysnand),CFW (EMUNAND) or OFW (SYSNAND) ... all end up in a black screen after the atmosphere logo ...
BUT!
looks like my former self knew that I would fuck up at some point ... i made a backup from my nand back in december - boot0.bin and boot1.bin ... there are/is a nand backup, right ? :D

But help me out .. I burned 11 fuses updating to 9.0, right ?
What does that mean in regards to a nand restore ?

Why are alot of people updating to 9.0.0 anyway?
There are NO games that require 9.0.0.
Just wait for TX to release a stable update then all will be good.
i think some updates/dlc like doom 2, feth respectively require 9.0.0 and more will surely follow shortly so time is pressing at best

You need to delete your themes from sxos/titles/... then reinstall on boot up with the latest nxthemes installer but this time leave your lock screen out.

"Worst case" this happened to everyone. And if you didn't have a NAND backup that is a brick.

??? AutoRCM has nothing to do with getting stuck at the Nintendo logo at bootup.

Im not sure what you mean. I got two folders with numbers in the "sxos/titles/" folder. Should I just delete both of them? I deleted the "themes" folder in the root folder of my sd card, but it didnt help.

Yes go ahead and delete both folders in sxos/titles/.. then reboot not your “themes” folder but that’s ok just put the latest nxthemes .nro on sd card and start that extract your files again but don’t install your lock screen.

backup the titles folder, then delete it, try that, seems something is blocking you at nintendo logo, for me was the themes. Some themes required a title folder too. just to be save, then reboot see if that works.

I'm not banned so if I update SX to 2.9 and then update my sysnand using Nintendo servers I should be ok? I can leave emunand at 8.1 atm. The problem is using Choixdujour if I'm not mistaken.
use atmosphere
