Tinfoil thread doesn't specifically mention XCI's install, what folder would I put those inTinfoil with the right keys should install XCI files.
This is exactly what I'm after thanks for the help.Use lockpick/lockpick_RCM (depending on your FW) to dump your keys. Save the file it dumps on your PC. You'll point 4NXCI-GUI to that file and then convert the xci to nsp. Should only take a few minutes. Then just use goldleaf (/goldtree if you're installing over PC USB) to install. PM me if you have more questions or want a more detailed step-by-step!
I never had much luck getting 4NXCI converted XCIs to work. Either they don't install at all or they give an error about corrupted data on trying to launch them. nsc_builder is supposed to work pretty well from what I've heard so I'll give that a try next.Use lockpick/lockpick_RCM (depending on your FW) to dump your keys. I don't know about OG Tinfoil, but blawar's Tinfoil does supposedly support installing nsps (over USB/Wifi it's supposed to let you install them if you put them in the same folder as Nut server and use usbfs:// in Tinfoil to select them, I assume copying the xci to the SD would work just the same but you'd need an ExFAT formatted card for that which isn't recommended due to corruption issues)Tinfoil thread doesn't specifically mention XCI's install, what folder would I put those in
After having a look through the tutorial section I can't see a way from start to finish on how to exactly go about obtaining keys, converting xci to nsp and then installing nsp via atmosphere
How do you go about it when you do it jdbye or are you on sxI never had much luck getting 4NXCI converted XCIs to work. I can't recommend blawar's Tinfoil though. Not with the sketchy shit blawar's been doing recently, it's bordering on malware.
ZeroTwoXCI can install XCIs as well so give that a try. Or convert them beforehand with nsc_builder.
Interesting. I've only done a few, but have never had any issues with it! From what I've read, the only scenarios that would guarantee issues are: a bad key dump or old sigpatches. YMMV, I suppose!I never had much luck getting 4NXCI converted XCIs to work. Either they don't install at all or they give an error about corrupted data on trying to launch them.
I just ended up installing it through hbgshop instead since all the games I had a hard time finding nsps of were there, but that's not an option now that I'm no longer using Tinfoil, so I guess I'll have to look into nsc_builder.How do you go about it when you do it jdbye or are you on sx
I use the same keys in NX Game Info, nspverify and Switch Backup Manager and I dumped them myself so they should be good. And I'm pretty sure I had this issue on SX too. Some people said not to tick Keep Ncaid so I tried that as well and it made no difference. Maybe it's a Tinfoil issue, I guess I didn't try installing them with Goldleaf.Interesting.
